OK, I'll bit this once.
that's more innovation than 3 microphones used for Noise Cancelling - never had an issue on my phone with people not being able to hear me, so benefit is dubious, Sapphire Lens - no idea what this is or how it compares to other types, but my phone already takes great pictures. This is an important part of a phone for me, so will be interested to see what's available when I next need to change my phone, Single layer Touchscreen - My touch screen looks and works just great thanks. I don't know (or care) if it's single layer or not. Siri fully functional in the UK - so it was broken before? and an Alarm clock included on the iPad - woopy f***ing do.... Seriously? no

An alarm clock? Now you're definitely on a wind up if you're touting that as revolutionary!
The Note II works for me because the hardware overall is better and those "software gimmicks" contribute massively to the user experience. Siri or Google Now? Doesn't really make much difference either way, if we're being honest does it? Either can set your alarm, get you taxi numbers or give you directions.

Those were just a few innovations off the cuff. My real favourite is the engineering, I'll hold off lauding it too much as I haven't held one yet, but the construction of this device is unlike any other. Good British lead innovation beats Korean every time no?

That's awesome Jay, we're both taking panorama's but you just have to see how you take them with the iPhone, I've used tons of apps before but this is automagic.

A screen that doesn't dim when you're reading it, you don't think that's useful? Siri is pants, be honest. My wife has it on her 4S, it's a joke. I'm not saying the Android version is any better (I haven't tried it), but that sort of technology on any platform is still a gimmick (thus far).

Panorama's are one button then a sweep left or right, no stopping, just like recording a video but it's taking pictures in portrait and stitching them together perfectly as it goes.
Nice little roundup on how the change to the 9 pin connector will affect you

Exactly the same procedure as my HTC One X then (although I'm not sure if that's the Android or HTC software though).

The iPhone captures a lot more than 5 frames, is in Portrait mode and it's one continuous smooth scroll left or right.

No NFC thank goodness, it hasn't been adopted... come on tell me where you use it, and it's a security nightmare. Look into Passbook.
Your Camera's do not work in the same way as the iPhone Panorama's, I'm sure they're awesome and you take a lot of them, but...

It still can't sort out the alignment properly. Have you see how much a head for proper panoramas head is? Until someone does something far cleverer than this, panoramas on these devices is gonna be crappy. Ok for Facebook or a bit of a laugh, but that's it.

And I have an App with takes a panorama in a similar way by just rotating the phone, and it works very quick, so this "new" iPhone function is not really that new.

As for the Portrait mode, again is that better? worse? I would have thought that for a panoramic, that Landscape mode is the more natural choice?
The HTC is one consecutive scroll too, so don't think that is a difference unless I'm misunderstanding what you meant?

The iPhone image is 28mb. Multiple portrait shots are way better than 5 Landscape. Come on, just one of you fandroids say something nice about Apple, it won't hurt.

We like the idea of being able to take panorama shots with the iPhone 5. Unfortunately when we tried there was some sort of interference appearing in the shot. The Apple representative with us claimed that it was the first time he had seen it and proceeded to demonstrate Panoramas. When taking a Panorama shot the user is guided to keep the camera straight, there is a box that appears in the middle of the phone containing an arrow and a line. You aim to keep the arrow on the line, its a simple and intuitive way to train users to keep the phone straight. The process wasn't intuiitive enough for me, even before encountering the problem with interference, I began by holding the iPhone in landscape, before being told to take the panorama in portrait, as the Apple rep explained: "That way we get a wider shot from top to bottom". The finished product was good, although there was obvious warping, but we get the impression that it's supposed to be fun, rather than accurate.
