9/12 Apple Day

You're right, Android tries to provide a desktop on a 4" screen, they had to try, it doesn't work, "desktop like" is a bit ****, especially when that desktop is like Ubuntu. iOS has changed the way we're presented with media, media providers had to change and are doing a wonderfull job. I see you use Pulse on Android, thank Apple, there are better apps but they may not be available for Android yet, you only just got Flipboard after all.
When did I say iOS provided everything? I'm about to switch to OSX to watch some Breaking Bad whilst in the bath, I could use iOS to do the same, iCloud is a wonderful gift, but the MacBook screen is just incredible, anti glare wins.

Don't worry, you'll still be able to play throw the penguin if you never upgrade. Flash isn't a ball in a playground, it's an unnecessary security hole, a gaping one that not even Adobe are prepared to babysit. There's a thread in Computer Related if you want to learn more.
It's not radical as in it didn't come from Mars, but it is a great upgrade, I can't wait to check out the engineering, looks stunning, twice as fast as the 4S and slimmer too. The connector for me is an upgrade, how many times have you fumbled trying to get the 30 pin connector into the phone, imagine how bad that must be for micro USB, impossible in the dark I would think.
So are you saying that the 6 WILL come from Mars? lol, that would make people listen! Yes, it's great upgrade from a 3GS, or maybe a 4, but I'm not sure that I'll change my 4S. After all, what will it do for me that my 4S won't?
I'm not in a rush to change either, the 4S is a stunning machine and still current. I have iOS 6 and nothing seems to be missing. Siri is now a lot more useful and maps are great, panorama's are addictive. But the 5 is shiny and very fast.

I added the new Youtube app a couple of days ago, but yes the old one has gone. Maps seem great, directions working on my 4s, 3d is very nice. Siri is now working as it should, had to boot Google out to get that one going. Have taken 4 Panorama's this morning already, yes there are apps for that, but this is very different.
All BMW's use the same wheel nut.
Anyhow, pre-order now available, better hurry, it will no doubt be the biggest selling phone ever. Just like every other iPhone. http://store.apple.com/uk-business/b...iphone/iphone5

Well I decided that after not really being that impressed with previous iPhones, I would check out the launch of the 5. They revealed it..... I LOL'd.
Like the 4S, it's a nice toy, but they just didn't do enough to make it a serious piece of kit for me. I'll jump from my Galaxy Nexus to a Note II next I think. The features of that are amazing. I had a good read about it last night on GSM Arena. They've done some really clever, innovative stuff with it.
Can't help but feel Steve Jobs was Apple and this current lot have spent far too much time/effort on petty lawsuits and not enough on R&D.
Just my opinion.

Just some cool little features I really like the sound of, such as the one that won't dim the screen if you're reading it, as it can see your eyes looking at it. They've now gone one better and added in something that tracks the orientation of your eyes, so that if you're sat reading something in landscape and lay on your side with it, it won't flip back to portrait while you're looking at it. I really like little things like that.
They've also put in Best Faces where it takes a burst of 5 photos and then let's you select the best pose for each person in the pic from the 5 pics it's taken. Then there's the ability to take a photo of a page of text and it will basically scan it in and make it into an editable text document. I really do like the things they've done with it. Add in the 2GB RAM and quad core processor and it's all I could ever need. I'm very impressed.

I think even most fanboys would be embarrassed by you

Geezer
I'm pretty sure 99% of the people don't take you seriously, so this is just all good entertainment
I hope nobody take me seriously, not on threads like this anyhow. I'm just shooting fish in a barrel.
But come on, a screen that doesn't dim when you're reading it, that's more innovation than 3 microphones used for Noise Cancelling, Sapphire Lens, Single layer Touchscreen. Siri fully functional in the UK and an Alarm clock included on the iPad. Seriously?

An alarm clock? Now you're definitely on a wind up if you're touting that as revolutionary!
The Note II works for me because the hardware overall is better and those "software gimmicks" contribute massively to the user experience. Siri or Google Now? Doesn't really make much difference either way, if we're being honest does it? Either can set your alarm, get you taxi numbers or give you directions.
