My 12 yr old daughter was in tears when I showed her this,And I got told we going no matter wot so we can show our support to connor, So a few of us a travelling up from lowesfoft Suffolk in a mixture of subarus and evos.

My boss had offered me the chance to bring his race car with hospitality trailer with all mod cons from holland would there be room ?, He will also be making a substantial donation can I get contact details for him to pay this please.

Jalopnik reader here. I'm sorry to hear about what the OP is going through, you're doing a wonderful thing for your son and he will always love you for it.

If I was anywhere in England I would be there, unfortunately I am here in the states. In the meantime I forwarded this thread to a contact at McLaren to see if there is anyway of getting some of their cars out there.

I have had a lot of support from Brainstrust.org.uk they are there 24/7 if you need help and advice and can pay for 2nd opinions with the countries best neuro specialists. There is also the Denny Fund and The Willow Foundation that give grants for holidays etc,

Hi everyone I spoke to zippy last night and he's totally gob smacked at the response his post has had
Obviously Connor his family and Connors day is occupying most of our minds 24/7
I woke this morning to read the latest posts of support and it's yet again surpassed all mine and I'm sure many other people's expectations

To be getting help and support from around the world is truly amazing

From what we thought would be a small gathering 20/30 cars has become the most heart warming show of support I personally have ever seen

Like zippy said last night , it really does Restore your faith in humanity

Just kissed both my kids heads tonight while they slept, their Connors age.....reminds me life has no script. All our love to the family and friends of Connor, and of course Connor. Were on the other side of the world but will cruise our VWs that day...they might not be modified or tuned but Im sure Connor would enjoy

I heard about this via BMWforums.info and i couldn't hold back the tears (still can't now!)
I can't even begin to imagine how you all must be feeling - but it makes me so happy that so many people from all over the world can come together like they have.

Zippy and family, I read this thread when you first posted but couldn't find the right words to post. I'm so sorry to hear of your sons condition that words fail me other than to say you have my deepest sympathy. No parent should ever have to go what you are going through.
I would travel up in my Type R but alas, it's off the road awaiting a steering rack so all I can say is my thoughts are with you and I hope you all enjoy the day the best you can, it's amazing what community spirit has done so far. Keep up the good work everyone.
