I don't know if he can promise anything, but he would like to help if possible & has access to one of the best supercar collections you'd wish to see. Hi all,

I had a bit of a thought, but didn't want to post until I had spoken to Zippy first.

The support for Zippy, Connor and their family has been overwhelming and just really goes to show how amazing people can be. I can't speak for anyone else, but it's time like this, as sad as it is, that my faith in people is restored.

Anyhow, back to my thought. As numbers have become so huge right across the car community, and there are limitations for the planned event, due to space, I was thinking, how about all of the people that won't be able to attend perhaps organise an event amongst themselves, hopefully on the same day/sooner and perhaps if somebody was willing/able to put together a DVD and photo album for Connor of the event and send it straight to him. Maybe do it as a charity event, with funds raised going to Zippy's aforementioned charity, and if traders wished to turn up, they could donate some of their profits as mentioned by a couple earlier in the thread. I think he would love the DVD and photos and it really would show him he is loved by so many out there.

What I would obviously say, is if a DVD was compiled, any comments were restricted to well wishes and comments about this being an event to support those that have looked after him so well thus far, so as not to alert him to how serious his illness is, as per the family's wishes.

It's just a thought, but I think it's worth considering for those of you out there that wish to show this little guy your support and love, but that may not be able to fit into the planned event.

I've been following this thread since it was posted on m3cutters & e36coupe last night & have been trying to write my 1st post saying something that hasn't already been said.....but can't, Only that although i'm not from the Scooby community any more, in times like this it doesn't matter if I drive a bmw, ford or scooby etc were all from the petrol head forum community, just wanting to show our support for zippy, Conner & family in these difficult times.


Some of us from m3cutters & e36coupe forums live a good 4hr drive away but if able to would be honoured to participate & show our support,

Just a sugestion but thought I read in an earlier post about window stickers & IMO think that would be great idea, I don't know Zippy, Conner or his Family but am pretty sure an 11yr old boy would think it pretty damn cool if all cars in attendance had a window sticker with his name on them?? Perhaps the stickers could contribute to a charity of the family's choice? but could also serve the purpose of if numbers do have to be ltd or for people that can't attend that they could still show their support across the country by donning a sticker?

Just an idea.

But the main thing is Conner has a fantastic day & you know that everyone wishes you all the best regardless of whether we've met or not.

Going to be a busy week but all for a great cause. I've managed to get Weds-Fri off work next week. A friend will help refitting the brakes on Sunday, I'll take the car up north Tues night and the work begins. New fuel pump ordered, front of the car needs to be cut away, radiator relocated, new intercooler mounting frame made, pipework made, oil change, Drive shaft swap as one of the fronts broke at TOTB, remap.

It's a track only car so I'll have to trailer it to the event but I'll take it off the trailer once there and would be more than happy to give the little fella a drive around if thats possible.

Although it in such heartbreaking circumstances, It's so refreshing to see how people can pull together and become one when the time really matters.

I, like many on here, am lost for the right words. In fact, there aren't any.. The fact that this has gone viral shows how much your story has touched the hearts of the 'petrol head' nation, no matter what they drive.

Your story is close to the VW forum, as the Charity we support is CLIC...

This event is gonna be a road block for your Son, and i'm sure that the VW clan will show it's support somehow...
