Shaid, we've generally got on, in fact I quite like you and always try to have a bit of sport. Given that, here's some friendly advice: Get the fück out of that Salafist mosque and in to somewhere that allows you to practise your faith, but doesn't fill your passionate, sincere, but susceptible and impressionable brain with the radical and loony nonsense above. I'm being serious. Give praise to Allah and your prophet, but beware the bearded men.

Do you not understand that stabilising an entire country doesn't exactly happen overnight? It takes time to form a Government, get people focused towards rebuilding and actually ensuring that they have a viable and demonstrable way of protecting themselves from the AQ scum-bags that sneaked into Pakistan?
Have you seen how they grow opium? lots and lots of small fields that can be cultivated in a matter of a few weeks... carpet bombing can't be used to the level that would be required - and I'm sure that would play right into the hands of pro-AQ lot "they're bombing farmers" etc.
No, I still don't grasp what you're saying - I'm genuinely not getting the context in which you're using this quote?

I have left said mosque a while ago. I'm trying to avoid it due to a certain beardo i have an issue with. Plus i didn't really fit in there. Too many coloured people for my liking.

Thanks
So are you lot trying to tell me that this is all one big co-incidence? (that the lovely minerals just happen to be there)
That we are there to win the hearts and minds of the locals? (whilst at the same time killing some of them for defending their country against invaders)
To build them a new nation? (whilst ours is getting screwed)
To give them freedom? (whilst we slowly erode our own)
And that this is all about combating religious terrorists? (yeah right, looool)
But as you said the joke is on me, fool me for daring to engage the brain, maybe i should accept the spoon feeding and convince myself (insert emotionally unchallengeable excuse here)

I think the West will have to dig up a lot of minerals before it is back in credit and anyway I expect the Chinese will get there first.
Sadly the place is beyond repair. Now they want millions - or is it billions - to get the country back on track. More good money after bad.

What you're witnessing is a way to make Afghanistan self supporting by looking to see what value it can exploit itself. If you think it's someone else trying to take advantage you're seriously wrong.
Or we could forget all this and all trot back to those jolly old days of the Taliban.. you know the ones.. crane hangings, shootings, etc. So when you think about it there's really no alternative, we've spilt UK blood in that sh1thole of a place to make it better for the people that live there, but we're not prepared to pour money in when they can make better use of their own resources - ergo mineral exploitation.

You may find this surprising but minerals and the like are located across the planet, some areas have greater deposits than others but its not unique to Afghanistan.

However, let's be clear about one thing. Regardless of what peeps are doing on the ground there we were never sent there for the sole purpose of 'freeing' the people. If that was true Mugabe would have been gone a long time ago.

If Mugabe had sheltered/supported an terrorist organisation such as AQ that instigated a terror attack against some one that murdered 3000+ people (of all nationalities) he'd have gone a lot quicker, you can bet your *** on that.

I'm sure you feel sorry for the Afghans. Really, really really sorry for them. I'll give you a yawn for that one though. It's obviously a load of clap trap.

However I have certainly not supported invading their country and killing some of their country folk.
Also my charity is never disclosed. My charity is for me to give and te receiver to receive. I need no public recognition or thanks.

The problem created insurgency against the newly established authority, which is very difficult to eradicate, the Taliba are the cause of most deaths, directly and 100% the cause of all of them indirectly.
I know this doesn't fit in with your skewed version of events, but i am not an idiot, so we are going to have different view points.

Do you support the Taliban? One of the reasons for entering Afghanistan was to remove the Taliban regime from power and create a democratic state, you will actually find that the indigenous population were in favour of this, obviously, who wants to be run by Islamist fu*k nuggets.

We all know what the official story is however some of us have independence of thought and happen to engage it.
The Afghans are tribal people and their allegiances are based upon said tribes. Now I'm not an expert of all things Afghan however hear this out.
A friend of mine was in some city in Pakistan last year. He was advised by some guy to get out the area ASAP as the police were out in full force as something was going on. Shortly after he left a bomb went off. Everyone thought it was the Taliban again. It was then found out that some Afghan family was in the local area and they had beef with some other family in Afghanistan. So said family ordered a hit on them.
This whole terror farce is very similar to the Roswell incident. For those that can remember after the Roswell incident all sorts of nutters claimed they had been abducted by Aliens. Same with the war of terror, the nutters are
coming out looking for their ten minutes of fame with their warped belief of martyrdom.
Although I strongly disagree with the Taliban 100% blame theory. I know as a fact the Americans are not doing te coalition any favors with some of their gung ho antics.
PS - I don't consider you an idiot at all
