red sti crinkle finish cam covers
That block looks great Ryan
Why do you have the OEM oil pressure sensor on if you plan on running an aftermarket gauge, Its one of the most useless warnings on a scooby IMO, It just tell you when its fooked, lol.
You dont have to use a heat gun, Just make sure its somewhere warm(ish) as it might not turn out right and will take an age to dry if its too cold.

Thanks as well mate
First step for cam covers is to rub them down either with wet and dry 600-800 or red course scotch pad
Next apply some plastic primer which is crucial for adhesion
next apply some 1k/2k primer [grey]
After primer you can rub them down if you wish but seeing as your applying crinkle paint there isn't much point as it's not a smooth finish anyway.
The job is best done in a moderate heat ie normal room temp so around 20'c and make sure if you use a heat gun to heat it evenly else you will get differences in the crinkle effect over the area and it will look sh!te an anything closer than 5 yards
