My error Craig, I thought you had SimTek? The Denso is good but I struggled to produce much beyond 425bhp on the TEK 3. It was causing issues with the MAF on the CAIK so I opted for SimTek / 3 port boost solenoid etc.

Billet T (mdx) OVER THE OLDER version of the T is like night and day. I was suprised with the difference.

What's your goals mate in terms of power? Would it be worth if not for a more punchy turbo to go down to a slightly smaller "H" for the faster spool?

I think the T is a great turbo on the 2.0LTR if used daily.

Yeah I've been thinking of seeing if anyone wants to swap for a h or just get it billeted..
I'm happy with the power just want a bit more response and torque so a h would prob of suited me more but hey ho!!!

Given the boost curve thats possibly slip on the rollers, its not "normal" and the rest of the graph looks pretty good for the "new" DD software. Banny's graph is using the old software which has a high degree of "averaging" built in hence the nice smooth curves.

At that boost though you should be at a higher level of performance, but if you have a std engine then perhaps not a good idea.

The 321T is/can be a laggy old turbo on a 2 litre whatever headers etc is used, harveys up pipe helps but even a 2.1 stroker struggles with it. The billet version, on the other hand, is a bit of a revelation.

Check your spool on the road, harveys numbers are road based not dyno based. 4th gear at 2000 rpm on a flat level road, floor it and monitor boost and rpm, at what rpm do you get 1 bar boost and at what rpm do you hit full boost (start of).

The lighter wheel adds very little per se. It is the redesigning of the wheel that makes the difference. The best advice for the O.P. is to get the best from what he already has before he goes to the expense of a billet wheel. Curing the cause of any late spool will carry through benefits when he moves on to the billet wheel.

How do I sort that out? I thought I would be getting the best of it now?? Where else could the prob lie? Leaking up pipe??

The first step would be to find out how your car matches up with Harveys on the road figures, using the steps Bob has indicated, prehaps when you go for the run with daz, I'm assuming you are running a boost gauge.

Just waiting for mark at lateral to get back with price for wheel and housing upgrade to the turbo.. Still a bit stuck on the ecu front, hear so many different things I don't know what to believe.... So just taking my time with this one

Depends on ecu what you want to spend. AlcaTek latest version looks the ticket. Syvecs is great too but haven't driven my car on it to comment.

Need to ask yourself budget and what plans you have mate. Data logs is a massive bonus on syvecs and its something I wish I could do on my simtek. Not sure if once sent off to AlcaTek if this function will be available?

I did mine in stages so have enjoyed the upgrades as I go along.

As for turbo no need to change housing if keeping current engine. Just ask for billet wheel etc. It's not cheap but worth every penny squire . I think it cost me £354 via Mark.

I had my billet wheel fitted on my MD321T at Turbo Dynamics as they are just down the road from me - £350 + VAT. I did get stung for a core refurb at £250 because of slight lateral play, but on the plus side it did come back shiny and rust-free! Haven't fitted it yet as saving for a new ECU - going for the Alcatek with Toucan touchscreen. Just had a 6 speed fitted so run out of cash!

Apparently the new housing is cos the new wheel is smaller so need it..
