I'm told (not sure about the reliability of the info) that cats hate the smell of citrus fruit, especially lemon, Maybe spay lemon extract around the car?

Just your luck that this will attract the dogs though!

I've heard lion dung is the way to go.

Get some from Knowsley safari park and smear it on the bonnet. Maybe shove a load in the engine bay?

Someone must be able to develop a low voltage circuit that you could make the metal of the car 'live' with. Nothing deadly, just something akin to that sensation you get when you put your tongue on a 9v battery.
The local cats used to love laying on the bonnet behind the scoop on my old scooby. Could see them eyeing up the car when I got home but they were always sly enough to wait till I went indoors before getting on the car. The same cats crap all over our front lawn.
I bought a few of those sonic things. It did stop them using our side access as a toilet but the ones in the garden just ate through the batteries as the direct sunlight used to set them off (side passage one was always in the shade and the battery would last weeks).

Some of you are sick fair play....
I often have to go and do rescues of both dogs and
Cats,as my aunty runs a cattery and kennels and rescue centre.
from dogs being tied to lamposts,to cats being dumped in boxes.
I can't believe people would be so cruel to these poor animals, the people involved,in some cases, tend not to take the women that turn up too seriously, but when i turn up,they tend to be the ones cowering in the corner, please please try and find a more humane way,of dealing with this problem, and stop talking about air rifles, and polyfilla in milk,Get a grip FFS....

I've taken in four rescue cats, from people who have caused them pain and suffering,oh how i wish i could cause them the same pain, and get away with it....

This is one of the kittens i recused, when I had her,I couldn't get near her she was so scared, but as you can see time and perseverance I have gained her trust

They deserve a chance....

Apparently it's true, I just don't fancy going into the lion enclosure to fetch it.

Knowing my luck it'd end up like this.

My cats are house cats therefore don't go outside,so yes I clean my cats crap up along with the lazy dog owners, who let their dogs crap outside my house.
Maybe be i should follow them home, and put it under their car door handle!!

I would have thought that if you catch them at it,a well aimed bucket of cold water might make them think twice next time. Not injurious but an unpleasant shock.

Thats without throwing the bucket as well of course!

oh , dont get me wrong , i hate that too ! But i HATE the cats (not strays either) that go in my garden. The owners must know they go to the toilet elsewhere. And it stinks worse than dogs poop. Im going to start slinging it over the fence soon !
