POST A PIC OF UR FIRST EVER CAR U OWNED !
#32
Haven't got a photo, but it was a 1939 Ford saloon which I had when I was training in Canada.
It was in very good condition, just south of Calgary they did not put salt on the roads in winter, you learned how to drive on ice. The cars did not go rusty and the chassis had a perfect paint finish if you rubbed the dust off it.
It was a fine old car and we did a good many miles in it with some pretty good looking friends!

* First car driven: dad's (RIP) Mk.1 Astra 1.3 GLS (75bhp?). In that sky blue colour. Similar to this:-
I thought it was real fast lol. IIRC, reg. was A122 JAR
* My very first own car: Fiat 131 Supermirafiori 1600 TC (RWD, 95bhp). Also in a sky blue-like colour - just like this one:-
Bloody loved that car - was pretty quick for the day - had a twin choke (hence "TC") Solex carb on it. Had the most comfortable alcantara seats. The gearstick came out at an angle, similar to CTRs! Raced a 2.8i Capri from standstill and got 1st instead of 3rd!!! - my very first bottom end failure!. Reg. was PEG 452X

First car was a '98 R-reg white Impreza Sport I bought in November 2005 5 months before passing my driving test. It had 18" gold Speedline Turini's , a mid level spoiler and stainless exhaust. It looked the bizznizz
No pictures though.

Same colour (**** brown) Escort Mk1 1300XL. Can't remember whether it was 2 or 4 door and I've had to shop these wheels on to it.
Wings were full of newspaper and filler.

My first car was a 1.3e mk1 escort in bronzey-sorta-rust colour....best thing about it was you couldn't tell where the paint stopped and the rust began!

Now you lot, you are in for a treat. Not only do you get a picture of the car, but you get a picture of the driver all those years ago
Now you can make as many comments about the car as you like, but none about the suave looking, cool dude that is standing in front of it.
Ladies, form an orderly queue.
Pug 205 GT in silver with racing stripes. All 1.4 litre of French power, but boy did it shift ! Tape deck on full blast, sunroof, blasting around Nottingham. Loved it though as it was French it did have a few quirks. Namely it seemed to want to go into ditches and hedges alot. Obviously nothing to do with the skills of the driver

Some great cars in this thread! A lot of them are really decent for first cars... and of course some classics.
Mine was nothing like as exciting! Although it did have alloys on it before I came to sell it (this pic was taken just before it went).
Poor car. It got such a thrashing and then was sold to an unsuspecting pensioner - oops.

I had a Sunburst Red XR3i as a 'stop gap' car, and got quite attached to it (apart from the horrendous valve bounce noise ). It cracked me up the 'sporty' rock hard springs (but I loved the way the suspension felt though ), and the fact you could go flat out anywhere in it! It always understeered its 105bhp away when throwing it into corners lol - the tyres would just scrub across the asphalt. But it was safe and very amusing.
...And one of the best feeling (and looking) OEM steering wheels eva! (Aside from the fact it was vinyl covered!).
