Samsung Galaxy S3
Yeah, it looks ok, but that's it. Good for snaps, like I say. And to be fair, not unlike a lot of compact cameras.
But tiny sensors and crappy lenses will never take anything but.
That's not to say that you can't take a stunning shot for composition or subject, that's a different story.
Geezer

I agree, no replacement for big sensors, but given the choice of a phone in the pocket or having to carry a small compact, there is very very little difference, in fact Id go so far as to say the lack of optical zoom is the only negative.
Composition will always win out over DSLR quality. Phone cameras are just as legitimate image capture tools as their big lensed distant cousins.
My phone loyalty has migrated to the platform who can give me image capture and edit and upload... on my terms.
...although my Dad's GS II as an atrocious screen; really doesn't represent a colour gamut very well.

Quite impressive benchmark result but what the heck are you going to do with all that processing power.

Not sure if i need any more power over my S2 to be fair!
I cant seam to recall it ever running out of processing power, a quad core ?!?!?!
I do remember overclocking the s2 dual core once (some random rom), but i could not see the point as it felt no faster anyway.

They have with the One X, it's not supposed to be molded plastic though, but machined out of a block of polycarbonate. The One S and One V are still aluminium though.
It seems people were questioning HTC's decision on the polycarbonate not being strong enough so they created a test stand at a launch event:

had a play on my daughters s3 the other week, feels the same as the s1/s11, kinda like it but it is a bit bigger.. might have to visit the local 3 store to try them all out again

Well I picked up my S3 this evening and I have to say I am very impressed by it, what a nice well thought out piece of tech.
The ICS OS does make the S3 a far more pleasant handset than the S2 I had a while back.

I am loving mine
could only get it in white though
but not too much of a problem, it even shocked me when it said " you have 3 new emails", made me jump
Its a fair bit quicker than the S2, ran quadrant standard and hit a score of over 5400, doing the same on the S2 it made just over 3900, pretty impressive stuff!
