Perroni every time given choice but would drink either.

Far rather have a brown ale or banana bread beer though. :-)

J4CKO

I could tell the difference between Peroni and Stella blindfold with all my taste buds removed.

Genuinely can't believe that you are unable to tell

For information I prefer a nice ale but it doesn't mix well with lager and I'd had a couple of lagers early evening so though best stick to lager...some great micro breweries roun my area at the moment

Stella is Horrible beer imho

Peroni is a lot better

Carling rules. And is the only lager in the UK brewed with 100% British Barley which is turned into Malted Barley in the UK and then is brewed in the at the largest Brewery in the UK. And trust me I should know

I'm a Stella drinker so

I will drink Stella, Peroni or Kronenburg 1664 as my preferred beer and I like all 3 but when going to the supermarket for a beer it's always the big bottles of Stella I get.

I also drink Spitfire, Old Speckled Hen, Bishops Finger, in fact to be honest if it's lager or ale i'll drink it* as long as as it's not Heineken, Fosters or any of that watery sh!te

* bottles only, I won't drink canned beer period -it's vile.

If you like your real ale, go here http://www.sharpsbrewery.co.uk/ and buy some DoomBar. You will not regret it

They sell it in our Staff shop. Bottled DoomBar is one of the greatest tasting beers ever (BIG FULL STOP).

No offence, but I can't see the attraction of DoomBar. I found it fairly insipid.

this is only my thoughts
12 to 15 pints, Jesus, really ?

If I drank that much of anything I would feel like death regardless, if you are really drinking that many I am surprised you can taste after about the third.

Will agree there is a difference but it isn't that huge, all broadly fizzy lager, I like lager, don't get me wrong but don't notice a massive difference, I like Stella as a rule but Peroni is nice, just don't think I could tell them apart, could tell between those and the weaker brands but in pubs it all seems to taste similar, you can get a dopey pint of peroni and a nice pint of Fosters.

I still want to know what these chemicals are, on the Stella can I have in my hand it says the ingredients are water, malted barley, maize and hops. There is no mention of zyklon b, bleach, sarin or dog ****.

Just because some like lager instead of wine or spirits, doesn't make us mindless f*cktards that will drink any old p*ss just for the sake of it!
That reads as though someone has found your account unlocked and written the most self-important comment they could muster up. I hope that is the case, if not.......

So all those in Stella but not the others, surprised there is any room for the beer.

I would imagine that there are some in Stella as pretty much all mass produced Lagers. Apart from Carling of course !!!

I know DoomBar has none and is pretty much natural, but that is a cask conditioned beer

It's all about what taset you like at the end of the day. I like Carling because it is refreshing. Stella, Carlsberg, Kronemborg just don't suit my pallet

I drank Stella for 15 years or so...probably 70 pints a week for a big % of that time, and it really is chemical filled pish...Im convinced it has LSD soaked into the brew...Some of the completly stoopid things i have done, and mainly not even remembered would get me put away for life!

Peroni is a lot better lager but its hard to get on draft, not many places have it..

I mainly drink brown beer now,or a lovely cider.Henry Westons vintage reserve is currently my top of the tree, and its just superb..

Marstons old Empire
Theakstons old pec
Mcewans Champion
Jennings Sneck lifter

All worthy of a try....btw Stella Cidre is also pish....

I think a lot of the "lager gives me a headache" stuff is down to the lack of line cleaning and decline of sales, meaning the lager stays in the lines longer.

I used to be able to drink 8 pints or more in a night, and not feel bad the next day, but now, I can tell if I've even had one slow selling pint in one of the locals.

Last night I went on to cans of Carling Premier. Seven cans and not even a trace of a hangover.

Still, I prefer real ales these days.

I cant Believe anyone drinking at that kind of level can really blame the brand of beer, 70 pints a week is insane, I have had three cans and am as pissed as I ever need to be !

You lot scare me, I never considered myself a lightweight !

At last! I've found someone else! Great isn't it?

I've been trying to get some of the new Innis and Gunn one that's done in whisky barrels, but haven't found it yet.

quite some years back when we worked away 24/7 it was pub work pub and so on and 70 pints a week is easily done, some people have higher tolerences to beer like myself, the first 5 dont touch the sides and im pretty sure there will be a lot more than me on here who will say the same,.
the downside is its a dear night out,,,,,,,,
