Was thinking the same!

The idea behind the strike is due to safety concerns the drivers have due to pressures put on them to deliver greater load deliveries. So now they are going to be even busier and under even more pressure and work longer hours. The longer driving hours bit is hilarious, it's a safety issue, now they get even greater pressure, more deliveries to do and they'll have to work longer.

It's almost as if the government knew what they were doing making people panic! They knew the drivers had to give 7 days notice so they beat them to it putting them under more pressure!

I phoned Tesco to see if they had any and was told they were getting tankers every couple of hours. Used my last fuel (I think) getting there and it's closed! Shell are out so I'm stuck now.

How low on the gauge does the fuel light come on as mines at the bottom but still no light, but I don't know of its working as I've never let it get to the bottom.

Thanks

What needed to happen was ,no panic buy and when the tanker drivers do strike we let the country grind to a halt. That would have sent the right message to the government.
But no, this country is populated by greed and selfishness and for that we will all be punished. Expect many more fuel price rises in the near future !
100% correct.

Everyone moans about fuel prices and times are hard but as soon as theres a sniff of a shortage, theyre all filling up??!!

The government must be laughing their socks off.

I queued for 30 min to put £20 in the Subaru caus it was in the red. When it runs out, Ill use my diesel.

They can force the fuel to the pumps but they cant force us to buy it. Id like to see one week of the full country not buying fuel and see what happens

I can see you're point but it would a bit pointless as everyone would have to fill up the following week after not having any for 7 days, so either way, they get our hard earned

It's true that everyone is like a sheep, they feel like they are missing out if they don't get some fuel - I've not filled up for two weeks now, scoob has stayed parked up & i've used the van which does 700 miles to a tank!
