There was a supercharged milano civic for sale on the civic forum recently
it might of been that one your friend bought . If it is its a very nice civic

there was a video on youtube on a race track and the video was shot inside a evo 6
and all you could see was a supercharged civic whizzing by the evo
the evo caught up with it on corners then the civic would start pulling away lol

Slightly old thread, but was browsing these forums!

I actually have an EP3 also and joined here to learn a bit about Scoobs. Considering one, but I don't seem to be able to pluck up the courage to sell my Civic lol. Your car looks nice mate. Did you supercharge it then or?

Seen people posting pictures so thought i'd join in!

Hi buddy

yea I still have the civic mate and was going to supercharge or turbocharge it in January
but I have had a change in heart and have decided to sell the civic in january instead
and buy one of the following instead evo 8/9 or a jdm hawkeye scoob or a rb 320

I have not long bought lots of parts getting ready to charge the civic so going to sell all them separately as well like stoptach big brake kit , m-factory lsd piper manifold and decat to name a few.

also just finished carbon dipping my centre console again which in my opinion is the best one I have done to date

also my car as it stands

your civic looks very nice I really like the facelift satin silvers

i doubt she will want to px that as its has more torque and works in the wet.

Car looks great Nizmo. I too am considering selling.

haha good points. The standard map on the EP3 is shocking and adds to lack of torque grumble. Was considering mapping it, but i'm also heavily considering a blob eye STI 265 UK. Bit quicker than the EP3, but very different in terms of delivery. And yeah, EP3 not great in the wet.

Only issue would be whether the Impreza might become boring faster. But having never driven one, can't comment. I refer to the way the engine works, revs are fun. Just seen the S2000 thread and people commenting how they love the engine even compared to the scoobs.

Was thinking about looking at this 5 miles away.

I can only speak for myself but I find my Clio much more fun than the classic I used to own. I did test drive an EP3 once too and I think I'd prefer that over a classic.

Light hatches make tons of sense on the street for my money.

I find it the same and the ep3 are strong fun cars to drive handle well clio sport same, I like the noise of my wrx but not as much fun plus I've dun two wrx engines in 3 months I no that wouldn't happen on a ep3

I own an EP3 Type R too. Great cars. The ek9 civic and dc2 integra are better drives imo. I'm not sure what people mean when they say the standard ep3 map is shocking, it seems to stem from urban internet legend tbh. It is perfectly fine. There is a slight dialled in dip just before vtec engagement but this can be mapped out if bothered. Learning to use it properly is far cheaper though. I'm swapping my 2002 NHB one for a 2003 Milano with a bunch of chassis mods I want for a future Tdi-north turbo conversion. Higher mileage but superior car imo.

Do it, you won't regret it. I love my ep3 but the Subaru feels a lot more grown up and is quicker point to point in most every day circumstances. I'm very pleased with mine.

Owned my Civic Type R for the last 9 months and relatively happy with the car. Miss the character of my Impreza but the Civic is a much better all round for every day use than a classic Impreza. Handle well, though the standard suspension and springs are a big crashy for a standard set up. And once in the power band, go really well. Even as far to say after 100 they have the legs on an Impreza, 0-60 obviously a different story in the Impreza.

I had a civic for six months, did a few bits, exhaust, gruppe m, frsu etc. preferred my previous clios and my current impreza is far quicker and has more soul. The civic was a bit boring tbh.

I hope your old classic (sport?) is now in a grave, giving Impreza's a bad name!

No pal, was a mint condition, 260 ver2 WRX. Having a 6 speed box with a higher revving engine just seems to give it a shove the Impreza didn't seem to have after a tonne. But in the real world you would hardly notice it.

I was really tempted to buy an EP3 and test drove one. It was OK but the classic Impreza just seemed a bit more fun and more unique.

276bhp and 295lbft of turbo charged torque should resolve the deficit of the previous cars! If it goes to production looking like this, then it might make the £30,000 asking price a little easier to swallow!

That's plain greedy. An 'EP3 gourmand' if you will.

Seriously, are you running two CTRs so that you have 'acceptable' (aggregated) lb ft?

I hope they have got rid of the stupid rear torsion bar first otherwise it's useless.

You know this! Stepping back from a WRX Wagon. Fills the void. In all seriousness though one is a standard daily runaround and the other is track-focused. I love 'em. Great vfm and good cars if you can sift through the poorly maintained/modifed ones.
