i got mine new back in 2004 it was the first of the facelift versions in the darker grey colour,

i did see the leather option when i ordered it but it was £1500 i think

i think yours is the first i've seen with leather.

GlesgaKiss 23 March 2012 11:23 PM

Fantastic cars. The handling was just a different league when it came out... will always be a cracking drive. One of my mates has had one for years. Not long after he got it, he sent me a photo of a bird sitting on the gear knob. :lol1: That will always be what i think of when I see these cars, as good as the handling is...

The cosmic grey civics are very nice
it was either a facelift cosmic grey or night hawk black civic I was looking for
then I seen this one with the leather interior and low miles 57k with
a couple of good mods and a full ice install.
so I went for this one and am going to fit the full facelift to it
facelift bumper
facelift headlights
the front wings with no indicators
wingmirrors with indicators
facelift tail lights
and a mugen spoiler

I think the facelift models look very nice :D

before I seen this one I went and viewed a facelift nhb civic and it was very nice
to I told the bird that was selling it I would buy it and when I got home I h.p.i checked it and found out it was a cat d write off a year and a half earlier.
so when I told the woman what I had found she said sorry and she didnt know
and a week later it was on gumtree again with no mention of it being a cat d :lol1:
I was lucky I h.p.i any car before I buy it :thumb:

here is the civic I was going to buy from the scam artist witch :lol1::lol1:

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-m...-2004/98513718

it's a nice civic it's a pity it was a cat d

Looks nice!:)

It is hard to go wrong with Honda petrol engines, as long as they are serviced regularly they go on for ever.

nizmo80 24 March 2012 12:27 PM

cheers zohan :D

the k20a honda engines are very strong I have seen loads of these with 120k on the clock and still run perfect.

my one has 57k so it should good for a lomg time.

I have had a 1.6 and 1.8 VTI and was lucky enough to met the designer of that engine (the base for your i believe) and he said the older they get the more powerful and better on fuel they get, he also said they had seen them ragged to death and still going strong at 200K - as long as the oil and filter are changed regularly:)

I had my 1.6 at vmax - off the speedo at 8k in top gear racing an intergrale, which i crept past much to his surprise:) - face it you do not expect a 4 dr Honda civic to pass you at 140+

Thats what I like with vtec engines they are really powerfull and I love the fact they rev upto 8000 rpm and the vtec sound is amazing.

my civic has had a remap on it and the vtec kicks in sooner at 5200 rpm and it goes upto 8600 rpm

my father had a lancia delta back when I was a young lad and I always
remember him taking me out in it for a spin in it and he would thrash the arse of it :lol1:

back then I thought it was lighting speed but if I compaired it to my type r now
my civic would eat the delta alive.;)

Dedrater 24 March 2012 06:44 PM

The boy racer wheels need to go.

eugmul 25 March 2012 02:47 AM

Looks good, especially in the black and the leather is very rare.:thumb:

What made you swap back from the scoob? What are these like day to day running compared to the scooby?

I had a civic type r before I bought the scoob and me and my wife had our first child
so I was wanting a four door car that was fast.
when I got my impreza all was good but then the cylinderhead gasket started to go
and I ended up selling the impreza and was going to buy a blob eye sti
then I seen this civic and could not resist as I loved my old civic
it is easyer to put my son in the back of the civic than it was the impreza.

The day to day running is excellent and is better than my old impreza to be honest.
it is more reliable and petrol consumption is alot better
the civic is very nimble and is very good for nipping in and out of traffic.

I highly recomend a civic type r because it is a very good car :thumb:

here is my old civic that I had before the impreza.

eugmul 27 March 2012 08:30 AM

What's the petrol consumption like?i know heavy foot and you'll use more, but how much to fill an roughly how many miles would a tank see you?

Herbie. 27 March 2012 09:57 AM

I sold my 2006 Cosmic Grey Premier edition to a mate just the other day. Brilliant car :luxhello: Ill miss it but need to get a diesel now.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...7/DSC_0032.jpg

Mixed driving a full tank would do almost 300 miles. Its a small tank, under £50 to fill up. Roughly 31 MPG average
