It's not just that but it will inevitably crack and i really can't be arsed with the hassle involved in putting that right once its all been painted.

Not if you build the main structure out of fibre glass like the arch is made from first and then skim with filler Daz.

Would love to be able to do what you're doing

I'm only re-shelling and I'm losing the will to live and already lost my patience lol.

Not even doing anything special

Can't wait to see this one finished well done Daz!

Thanks guys

A few little bits done although I haven't spent much time on it over the past week or so.

Rear Brembos,

Before

After

K Sports

Carbon Rear Wing Fitted

As I'm not using door cards I wanted to tidy the doors up a little bit. As I didn't want all the big holes everywhere I cut out some ali sheet to shape and covered them. Just in primer at the moment but it should look ok when its finished.

Should hopefully get some colour on it tomorrow.

It's looking rock hard! lol

I'm thinking that's the best colour for the Classic shell! A stunning hue. (After Pure White 51E, of course ).

Thanks. The H6 is too much work for me. Next step may possibly be a 2.35 but cant see my self ever going the six cylinder route.

Just wondering...
Do the venting holes / slats really make a difference to the FMIC?
Just wondering as I've just fitted an FMIC in my Bug, and it has the standard bumper. I was thinking about not putting the number plate back 'on' the front, but using a front sticker, albeit not too legal!
Love the colour, and love the progress

My FMIC is an RS500 one so its the height of the whole front end, from the cross member at the bottom and has needed the slam panel removing at the top.

I would say on a normal sized front mount it's not worth bothering with the holes.

I'd certainly remove the number plate at the front though as your plate will be taking up quite a bit of the surface area of the intercooler.

It'scertainly big enough to have some effect. Quite how much I have no idea.
