Dave,
Do want some numbers ! fleets start at three cars and i'm quite sure you could make that up between some friends in a similar state......we did.
It does take some looking around, but what insurance policy worth it's salt doesnt. If your experiances differ then i'm sorry but this is honestly how we achived our goal.
Dont want to start a debate on this, if you dont beleive me look into yourself, also you can insure a single vehicle as a company vehicle but it will cost more than £1500 (one man band firms et all). It can be done
Cya on the board,
Phill

Sorry, what I meant to say was that you will only get the fleet discount/per vehicle charge down if it is a reasonable size fleet - you can of course insure a single company car, but it would probably be at a rate similar to a private vehicle. The insurer would rate it individually rather than just charging a set sum per vehicle irrespective of car like they do on many larger fleets.
Incidentally fleet covers have produced some of the most horrendous losses (amongst other things; not my car, I don't care attitude plus commercial travellers clocking up substantial mileages), and insurers are much more wary now of fleets after having their fingers most horribly burnt.

Dave,
You have some good point's there, my policy price has just increased but it's still better than i could manage outside of the Company style insurance.
But like you say getting insurance is getting harder full stop, espically if you want to insure a modded car. How's the Scoob doing, is the beaut. still up for sale (i was the guy who's company car caught fire en-route to view ya scoob ?
Happy bank holiday to all scoobynutters,
Phill

I have asked about company car insurance as Im director of a limited company (me aged 21) which has been in business three years. I've been told a mix of stories - fleet policy is acceptable but I can't find a decent insurance copmany which will allow me to do this !!1

Lizzie,
Who was the insurance that you decided to take with? I'm getting quotes of 4k due to various things (mainly my age, but 2x non-fault accidents in 2yrs + 1 fault).

I will be calling Christian.
I am with Priveledge at the moment....
I have a Legacy Turbo...(se the legacy thread..they're cool) and they wanted £1800 for TPFT. and I paid.
Mind you:
TWO bans......3 crashes ( someone gave me a Vauxhall Tigra as a company car....and no matter how hard I tried I just could NOT get that thing to stick to the road?...Tree....Lamppost...Barn....all at over 75mph! HOORAY!) and my Impreza and my Nissan Sunny GTiR both got nicked. Hence my love for legacys. Stealth.
Trouble is...I reversed into someone a month back.....they got £4000 out of my insurance company for....ready?
TRAVEL ANXIETY! I MEAN WTF????????????
So I am dreading renewal time.....esp as my legacy now has a WRX block and WRX brakes and wheels...and is slowly gathering more and more bits and bobs under the bonnet.......H E L P.......
