If he doesn't read it tonight, Gary will be tied up for a while in the morning.

I've just sent him a massively long PM with my up to date spec/mods list.

I've always had great service from Gary at KM and will continue to use them.
It sometimes does take 2 or 3 calls but well worth it as he has a knowledge and understandng of modifications, with some insurers you feel like your speaking a different language.
Will be contacting Gary soon once I get the new bits fitted.

I made a few attempts to get hold of Gary but he did get back to me with a great quote. I've added Mods etc change details and top service. IMO

Ok would be better not to wait but at least I understood him and hime me
he knew what a Subaru and mods were what.

I will certainly renew with Gary again this summer as i expect it will be competitive

Gary has always been great with me.

I had issues with them initially not recieving my proof of no claims and after a struggle with my other insurance I got it to them but there was a delay and I simply called and explained to them what had happend and was told "dont worry its fine"

Other than this very small issue I cannot fault there service and shall definatley be using them this year on my Focus and the scooby.

Took me 10+ calls but got through and the price was £100 better than the others and over £200 better than my original renewal, yes it can be frustrating trying to get through but keep plugging away, it's worth it in the end.

no unfortunately keith michaels were not competitive enough for me whether it was just because they couldnt be bothered to try i dont know. Was on the phone for all of 5 minutes to be told no we cant match that i suggest you go with who you got cheapest quote from, there quote was about £150 off what i was quoted elsewhere so shall not bother again as was a total waste of time and to say i am disappointed is an understatement.

As he says.

Just because the quote wasn`t ground breaking doesn`t mean that the company is crap, it means the company can`t beat anothers quote.
That is the whole point of some comparison websites lmfao.

But with Gary its not just the point its cheap, its someone that knows the cars ins and outs, knows what mods really do, and is able to give you an intelligent reply.

Unlike cheaper companies that quote you cheap, but will not allow any mods, and if you don`t declare any and have an accident will refuse to cover the claim.

dry my eyes im not crying mate there loss not mine, also i said nothing derogatory on here other then i initially asked other peoples experiences of getting hold of them not my fault others got involved and turned into a slanging match. i also never said the company was crap i did say there customer service was lacking and response times that was all. also the only mod on the car is the factory fitted ppp which i have declared with every company i have been to for a quote it even comes up as an sti type uk 301 and have clarified this with all companies

I think we can be sympathetic towards their views with gary admitting it can take a while for him to get back and chase up every inquiry. I've used Moley and recommended all my customers use him to.
I've personally never had any issues with Gary and will continue to use his services.

At the end of the day all he can do is punch in your data and up pops a premium.

Andyfrosty - i did say the price you'd already had was very good, and it was unlikely any company will beat it (IMO).

What exactly do you want, and did you speak to Gary?

As ever, I check the comparison sites when my renewal is coming up, for a laugh.

My cheapest quote from the Meerkats for example was over double what I currently pay with KM, and that was with VERY limited mods declared to the Meerkat's.

Gary rang me on Thursday morning regarding my PM mentioned earlier in this thread. I didn't know he had my mobile number.

No change in cost and a better policy. Now fully comp, and ALL mods declared, instead of TPFT with all mods declared.

It was the first time I'd actually spoken to Gary in about 4 years or so, I usually just send him a PM and ask him to just renew my policy, as I know others won't even come close on price or service.

The fact that Gary took upon himself to ring ME, to offer ME a better policy, just goes to show why you're better off with a specialist that actually knows Subaru's and has his customer's interests in mind.

Unlike the Meerkats etc, which only want to rape people for as much money as possible when they own performance cars.

If that means he's a bit harder to get on the phone, well frankly, deal with it. If you want to insure with a faceless company that couldn't give a damn, then go elsewhere.

Yes same pattern emerges every month
Low posters and newbys come on moaning

All the other old and high posters come on with great quotes
And excellent stories to tell about Gary ( king of the insurers )

This thread is repeated about as many times as
Should I get a dump valve ( and become. Chav) ?
What mpg do I get ?
Should I buy stick on tat from halfrauds ?
Should I have my engine rebuilt by someone reputable ,but
They are expensive or buy a second hand engine of eBay ?
I sold my scoob and regret it !

I'm on lots of forums and continue to recc Gary & his company having looked after me over the years. Like others, I've had good PERSONAL service. If when you've put the phone down you feel that he's treated you as one of a handful of special customers with a modded Scooby then you KNOW what service is like. In reality he has thousands of customers like us !

No wonder it takes a bit of effort to get hold of him on occasions.

Thanks GM....... will be in touch again soon.

hardly a newbie mate, like i said was only asking other peoples opinions, as thats what i thought these forums were for. its all about getting information and advice. i have been a member of loads of car forums before and have owned different cars and i dont mean 1.2 novas or corsas or saxos either so hardly a novice in this game.

I know my cars.
I have been on loads of other websites.
Bought a Scoob and it's the fastest thing I have ever owned but the insurance is steep.
19's or 20's with stretched tyres on da Scoob or what?

I hope the old hands don't tar all us newbies with the same brush! I'm a relative newbie as I only bought the car last May. I couldn't go with a specialist insurer as I had to own the car for at least a year to suit the criteria (this is my 1st performance car). I will certainly try and get a quote from Gary this May as its plain to see he is highly regarded on this site. I have even stored that 0208 number in my phone to save trawling through posts when the time comes.

been with gary for a few years now and will stay with him too

upside i guess is ive never had to claim to use one of the 50 other staff pmsl

Renewal due shortly got renew figs from Keith Michaels yesterday very little inc on last year, did usual shop around found more competative quote. contacted Gary first time, he matched other quote with better excess so now have all mods declared with like for like at £30 cheaper than last year. which with the insurance increases this year I consider a result. Nice one Gary.

thanks SteveB
