keith michaels

Has anybody else had problems on here trying to get a quote from keith michaels i have been waiting 2 days now and have phoned 4 times but still nobody or should i say Gary has had the courtesy to call back obviously they are a company that are doing so well they do not need the business and as such i shall go elsewhere just makes me wonder how quickly they would react if a claim was to be made on a policy. i also tried greenlight, a-plan, sky insurance and a number of other insurers on here and i couldnt believe how expensive they all were the cheapest quote i could get was from elephant of all people. prior to that i was with aviva and my renewal was £857 but elephant are doing for £617 all "SPECIALIST" insurers were £900 plus.

Pramas 28 February 2012 09:40 PM

worth the wait, i couldnt get in touch with gary personally but christian from the same company sorted me out and hes alot more reachable ! ( think hes normally there evo guy , i could be wrong )

Saalro 28 February 2012 09:40 PM

Lol, are you doing an internet quote and waiting for a reply? Just ring them and ask for Gary, if he's not available, ring again in 15 till you get hold of him.

Personally i always get through to him arounf the 2 or 3 time.

Thanks

Brun 28 February 2012 09:48 PM

He's a busy bloke - keep trying.

Brun 28 February 2012 09:48 PM

......and try the insurance forum out for size :thumb:

Apologies for not getting back to you, it's currently the end-of-month rush, where everyone has left everything untill the last minute, so it's a bit manic.

Our claims department is in a different office, on a different number, and have 50+ staff, so you'd have no issue getting through to them if anything happened.

wazlee 28 February 2012 10:04 PM

I tried several ways a few weeks ago - calling, E-mail Via Website & PM on here with no avail or return contact.

I tried Greenlight's online quote service (can input mods) & got a quote with a few hours and took out insurance following day.

I was off ill for 2 weeks earlier this month, so may explain it.

I get through instantly to him

Keep trying it will be worth it

davedipster 28 February 2012 10:56 PM

I must be very lucky then, I've spoken to Gary at renewal time for the last 3 years and got the best quote and cover...guess where my money went only last week.

andyfrosty 28 February 2012 10:59 PM

i did ring back twice on both days and asked for gary both times left name and number but no details on car as other people where not interested as gary is the subaru guy or something basically i think its quite rude and bad customer relations / service. yeah they may have "50" people in the claims department allegedly but why not at least ring people back.

When i get 5-10 pm's per day, 20+ voicemails, 10+ internet quotes, and taking incoming calls all day on 3 different phones, aswell as sending renewal prices out, it makes it hard to get back to everyone.

I wish i could return every message.... i'd earn a fortune.... but i can only do so much.

Some might say if making 4-5 phonecalls could save you £100+ it's worth the effort. Not everyone will agree though. ;)

initialD 28 February 2012 11:12 PM

then you need more staff clearly theres no excuse imo

t16mbo 28 February 2012 11:16 PM

Think people need patience. Normally I get through straight away but odd occasion had to wait or had a call back. How many call centres do you get through to straight away without holding.

... which pretty much sums up why i'll never quote you.

Want me to be honest? Your attitude on this forum stinks IMO, and i don't want to insure people i think will give me grief.

NEVER tell me to ''bloody do it''. Go back to slagging tuners off in your other thread.

Goot luck selling that engine by the way. Want me to slag you off on posts about you? Like the oil/boost issues you had on the engine you're trying to sell?

I could moan about you in those threads, but i don't do things like that. You however seem to take any opportunity to moan about whoever you can, and how hard doneby you are.

I particularly liked you thread about how all insurance is a rip off, shortly before you requested a quote.

I wouldn't like to think i rip anyone off, so it's a good job i didn't quote you isn't it?

I know i sound like an arsehole, but certain events today (which i'm not going to go into) make little things like moaning about not being able to get an insurance quote seem pretty ridiculous (IMO)

t16mbo 28 February 2012 11:21 PM

Lol nicely said moley.

scoobydoobytim 28 February 2012 11:33 PM

Regarding the claims said this on previous post had an accident in August some woman reversed into me and they were excellent sorted everything for me. Like they all say on here def worth the wait saved me a good chunk and hoping will do the same in April when renewal is due;)

If a company/person is busy, then they are busy. As a customer it can be frustrating trying to get in touch, but then as a customer, you/I or whoever doesn't know what is going on at the other end of the phone. Maybe they don't have enough staff as you say, but that is sometimes the problem with smaller companies. If you are not happy to persevere and exercise a little patience, then you are better off dealing with a larger company and just get on with it, higher premium or not.

Small company or large, there will always be unhappy customers out there for whatever reason. You can't please all the people all of the time. Most of my bad experiences (not insurance related) have been with large companies. You often find that whilst small companies may be harder to reach, they have better customer care (as a rule) when contact is made than large, inpersonal ones that customers are viewed purely as a number and once money changes hands, care goes out of the window.

Imo, give the guy a break. He is one bloke doing the best he can to look after clients/potentials, but he is only human and can only do so much.

slagging off tuners !!!! listen mate im an honest person "unlike yourself"if you was honest you would phone customers back . if i recieve a piss poor service ill moan about it , its my right too , im not the only one un-happy with your service on here as you can see ! as for my engine yes i had a minor boost problem which ended up being just a restrictor pill in the end so thats that cleared up ! and the low oil was due to road angle " anyone feel free to search my previous posts to clear that up !!! :p as a company you provided a bad service to me and the o.p , all we wanted was a phone call back ! a few lads on scoobynet have met me in person and will know im a genuine nice lad . but poor customer service really gets me ! im sure your a nice bloke too ? but thats really out of order bringing my engine up like that mate . now its never going to sell
