at the end of the day i hate it when companys say "ill call you back " and they dont !my other thread i started today moaning about a certain tuner was because of this !! so i saw this thread and could totally agree with it as i had the same experience as the o.p . im not saying your a bad insurance company , clearly your not as your well respected , as is the tuner i moaned about . but its just the customer service i have a problem with !

You've got enough posts on here fella to surely appreciate that it can be hard to get hold of Gary ... most of us persevere though & get a good deal in the end. I've been insured with him for too many years to even recall ffs

Have experienced Gary and Keith Michaels during quotes, trying to get hold of Gary (he ALWAYS rang back if busy), and through a claim. And I can honestly say I had a personal service, that kept me informed through every step, and every member of staff there was helfull.

The customer is NOT always right, and one person can only do so much. The guy goes out of his way to help us out, which isnt his job. His PRIMARY role is to get as much money for his company as possible, by selling insurance. Which I`m glad he helps us out with personal service. But if everyone were to phone at the same time 99.99% of people can`t get through.

But to the O/P I`d give Gary a phone or PM him, as that way he can contact you when he`s available, and give you the top notch service that we get.

Goot luck selling that engine by the way. Want me to slag you off on posts about you? Like the oil/boost issues you had on the engine you're trying to sell?

I could moan about you in those threads, but i don't do things like that. You however seem to take any opportunity to moan about whoever you can, and how hard doneby you are.

I particularly liked you thread about how all insurance is a rip off, shortly before you requested a quote.

I wouldn't like to think i rip anyone off, so it's a good job i didn't quote you isn't it?

I know i sound like an arsehole, but certain events today (which i'm not going to go into) make little things like moaning about not being able to get an insurance quote seem pretty ridiculous (IMO)
That's a little bit nasty.Could've been said in a nicer way.

Never had any of the problems described, part from the odd wait for contact.
I was paid out without fuss when I claimed for a few K and this claim did not affect my next premium - which I must say I found bloody surprising.
And I'm a moany b4stard.

You cant please all of the people all of the time you can only please some of the people some of the time.

Gary has more than impressed me with his understanding and knowledge for the last year I've been insured through Keith Micheals. Always Answers my questions and the odd occasion I couldn't get through his colleagues helped me.

I'm insured with Keith michaels this year through gary . Tried ringing last year a few times ( no joy ) so went somewhere else !! . No big deal about it , had a little moan on here and told him I try again next year ! Which I did , got through and got an amazing quote ! Now was I just lucky getting through ? I don't think so , the guy is just really busy and has lot of repeat customers !!

Just my 2 pence worth !

In a refreshing departure from today's norm, Gary puts existing customers first. This is why he is held in such high regard and is so difficult to get hold of.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Like i said, i'll always try to get back to as many people as i can, but there is only so much i can do.

I appreciate that we could get more staff to help, but people like the fact we specialise in certain cars and know them inside-out. It's not that easy to train someone up to have the same experience as the myself and the other guys here, who have been doing the job 10 years+, and have actually owned the cars we specialise in (Subaru's/Evo's/Skylines's etc...)

Dude don't take the bait and bite back, ignore and walk away. you will get caught in a bum fight. there is a reason you are so busy and why individuals continue to deal with you year after year, you cant win them all mate so deep breathe and let it slide.

need to speak to you at some point as i have received my renewal quote for the 330ci will give you a call

cheers

Wouldn't even entertain the idea of going elsewhere; Gary is honest, up front and reliable...qualities I value. If he is unable to speak then and there you can leave voice mail and when he calls you back he has normally acted on the voice mail. Can't fault him or his prices in the slightest and both my cars are insured by Keith Michaels.

Top service from KM always. Both my bro and myself have ours insured with them.

I have noticed the forum has changed drastically since my first scoob some 12 or so years ago, as has society in general over that time, but that is another issue.

I have always had a great service for Gary, even when I rang him about 5 times in one day as I could not make my mind up on what car to go for, rang me back everytime. Keep up the good work guys.

I pmed Gary this morning as my insurance is due for renewal in a couple of weeks. After a quick reply I called him and left an answer phone message with my number to get back to me. After a couple of hours I got a call back from him and renewed my policy and best of all my premium hasn't gone up at all

As per normal a quick and positive response from Gary and a great service

I don’t normally get embroiled in threads like this, but great customer service in this day and age is definitely worth a mention and that’s always been my experience with Gary.

More often than not it can take a few phone calls to get hold of him, but I’ll put up with that for his expert knowledge of Imprezas and the insurance business – which would normally tend not to go great together!

Just try ringing any mainstream insurance company’s customer services (wherever in the world that may be sited at the moment) to tell them you have changed your Impreza to one that’s now an Jap import, modified and have changed the exhaust, wheels, suspension, turbo, etc, etc, which has increased the power somewhat and see what reaction you get and how long your policy continues!!

This is the kind of stuff Gary knows about and can deal with, even to the point of the conversation with my previous car which went along the lines of “Remember that 2.0 litre engine in my Impreza, well it’s now a modified 2.5” – “No probs, it’s all sorted for you”

Gary is a bit of a godsend to a lot of us on here, who otherwise may struggle to get their modified cars insured, so please don’t pi$$ him off too much as I need a decent quote for next months renewal !!

Keith Michaels have provided me an outstanding level of service. This is the reason why they continue to get my custom.

Gary goes beyond the call of duty in my book, answering any queries I have promptly, even during out of work hours.

I can't see how he singles me out, but I have never hand any trouble whatsoever getting hold of him. Perhaps I'm lucky!

Great service, great broker, great prices!

Garys services know no bounds. He's my polite, friendly insurance guru (both when I have a policy with him and when sorting an accident out last year through a retarded insurance broker), a friend and also sorted out tax on a car I was purchasing off his father about 12 months ago.

If I was in his position I'd choose who I would give quotes to aswell, on the basis of grief or attitude. A car forum helps you see this in advance (I'm pointing fingers at NOBODY here) and make those decisions. A good example being those who commit insurance fraud or other misdemeanours (see insurance section for regular threads). That information must be like gold dust! And it takes something pretty bad to **** a mild mannered gent like Gary off

Best customer service by a mile so far in my experience.

I have just gotten off the phone to Gary, got through on second occasion of calling. I confirmed the modifications and then paid. This is the 4th year now with Gary & Keith Michaels and no hassles at all.

In fact Gary rang me back to inform me that he was switching my policy to a different provider who offers better coverage on modified cars.

I did try another two insurers who advertise on here other than KM's one was £172 more expensive, and the other couldn't even quote on a Spec C (a bit strange that as they claim to be performance car specialists).

Many thanks Gary for the top service yet again, and for offering the best price with improved coverage.
