Replacing MAF sensor question
Hi All
Dmel I have a significant knock correction all over the place but my logs are usually with 4th or 5th gear as they are more prone to det, especially if you floor the throttle from low revs.
I thought my petrol station was crap and still believe this, may be an ECU reset with different fuel would show me what exactly is happen. The red light I saw in my Knocklink sensor was at the hills after a slow run behind of a truck for 5 minutes and when I floored the throttle (3rd gear, 25 C degrees).
I can send you my new logs or post them here if you like, just to compare with yours. By the way could someone (expert) explain me some constants on my log files?
I am waiting until tomorrow for my new log files after an ECU reset and I'll post them here if you don't mind.
Cheers
JIM
PS: Next Friday I'll be in Athens and I'll meet you!

The URL worked fine for me.
Mark,
Thanks for that link.
I just had a look at the link and I looked at all the pages on the thread. I saw the pictures of your piston and the cylinder. I wish I could read dutch so I could see what everybody wrote.
My Delta Dash logs are exactly like your logs with your old MAF. The problem with mine is that I put in a new MAF and I still get 0.86/0.87 volts and my fuel injection pulses are like yours too.
My logs are here, http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...threadid=92839
I wonder if my new MAF may be faulty then.
Did your engine blow because of the MAF?
I noticed you have knock correction right through the rev range. What fuel are you using?
Your new MAF is working fine. Nothing to worry about with your high speed run. When the O2 sensor gets hot, it under reads.
Cheers,
Wrexy.

John,
On Mark's first run he was getting -6.1 knock correction and on his second run he has constant knocking at certain points with one section at -4 and another at -5.6.
Just wondering if it is dangerous. Fuel? Maybe his first engine let go due to this.
Cheers,
Wrexy.

Jim,
I think you should worry about it if it keeps doing it. If it's a one off here and there, you should be right. Just make sure you take your foot off the accelerator straight away.
Did you connect the seperate Bosch knock sensor on that bolt under the intercooler?
Cheers,
Wrexy.

Jim,
in one of the runs I got -1,5 up to -3 knock correction in 4th gear flat out between 4900 and 5000 rpm. I got this only once in warm conditions.
A second case where I systematically (I think) get knock correction is when cruising in 5th gear ~3000rpm and I hit the throttle. I may get -1 knock correction along with a slight overboost (Magnex DP).
Does anyone else have knock correction when overboosting?

Stelios,
Jim and I are at the baby stages.
And intend on staying there.
Or maybe do a teeny, weeny, little bit more modding, but nothing too drastic. What are you jealous of us for?
You have a monster we will never catch.
Actually it will be a good thing if you can upgrade the software to monitor. It is a great tool to have. Plus it's like a new toy, to play with.
Cheers,
Wrexy.
