Could do with tracking mine quiclky again just to get the steering wheel straight, (driving me nuts)

Then i need to pick peoples brains about an abs fault

Basically it doesnt work, and found out that the tw@ i bought it off removed the warning bulb, hence why i didnt find it until weekend before last

Tom, think I might have a wheel bearing problem - is this something that can be done in 2 hours with a novice (me)! Also, am I best doing both front one's at same time? Think my brakes might have to wait

I know I can't comment for the college but wheel bearings are pish with the right set of tools an press, provided there's no under lying major problems and the college has all the tools to cater then it could be done in half the time if not less.

Hi Jo, Mike says we could run into problems if they havent been changed before, we have the press to do them It would just be the time factor if we got stuck on something. Maybe you can pursuade him though on the night

Think so as it sounds the same as it did on my last scoob when it went. However, I dont want to cause a problem on the night so I'll just get the tracking done and if someone could have a look at the wheel bearing and confirm, then I'll get it done Will be good (or maybe not) to get it on the ramps and see if there's anything else needing to be done

I am getting a noise as well which i am hoping to check over on the night, really hoping it is the bearing to be honest as they aren't expensive haha!

Great Jay yeah Im sure we can check that out!

So everyone is ok for tommorow then?
sounds like its going to be a busy night So if we meet in the car park again, we wil have to go in, sign in, and pay at the front desk.

Got myself and two other lecturers on hand to help, also got my valeting stuff in if anyone wants to do their cars, polishing indoors is so much better than outside!

Looking forward to it now, see you all tomorow

Cheers for tonight Tom

Sorry I hogged a space all night, tight nuts aren't always a good thing

Saw a lovely P1 on the way home, think he was after a race - like I'd win that one I didn't try anyway, it would have been just my luck to find a copper round the corner

Your welcome Jo, Was a fantastic night beyond my expectations, and that 911 turbo! Goin for a ride in that was kenny's birthday and christmas present rolled into one I think. Im gonna post up the pictures soon I have 3 hours worth of marking to do for tommorow so better do that now

A couple of things though:

I think we need to start earlier say 5.15 or something for those that can make it as tracking lift was in high demand and I really want people to fell that they are getting value from the sessions

We need to sort out a better system for the monies, we where 7 quid up tonight which is great but a bit difficult to work out who is coming/paying etc.

But a great night big thanks to all who came

Sorry Tom, will be giving it a miss - not sure what happened with the tracking but my front left tyre is now bald and I'll have to replace it

Gonna stick with my normal mechanic from now on

Not your fault Tom, no need to apologise

Obviously something is wrong so I spoke to my usual mechanic last week and it's going in for a health check Handling is ok but sometimes weird feedback through the wheel - he'll get to the bottom of it but that tyre is really bad, just dont want to replace it til I get it fixed

Wouldnt mind but finally found wheel centre caps too!!
