I'd personally rather pay a bit extra for for something with lower miles, I have owned a couple of high milers and they just cost you more in the long term.

PPP fitted, only 46k and you could probably get it for a few hundred cheaper if you haggled.

If I was in the same situation mate, id do the same
Dont worry about things being all worn out etc, if its mainly motorway miles chances are the bushes etc are fine, plus these things eat motorway miles as have a good tall 6th gear and cruise nicely with decent engine speeds. If its been brayed everywhere it should feel that way (plus wouldv crippled the previous owner in fuel costs! )
If all checks out, everything looks tidy and drives ok with no dodgy knocks/vibrations/running issues, you should have a really nice motor for a good price. Just check the standard things, especially the water and oil for any sign of head gasket failure, and id get the belt done straight away. Probably an idea swap all the oils out for fresh too (engine/gbox/diff)
As has been said, any car can go wrong regardless of mileage. My theory is that if it breaks, ill fix it. Simple as that
Good luck with it mate and enjoy it
Get some pics up asap too

Well I was supposed to come back with pics, wasn't I?!
I have been so busy enjoying the car, I had forgotten all about it to be honest! God, what a machine. I've had fast cars before, but nothing as well built and as fun to drive as this. It covers ground at a phenomenal pace, and the Brembo brakes are suberb.
Here he is, George II (as my Classic was named George on account of being a boxer that should have given up years ago ):
