Rice? SALT?

Man up..........take the rear seats out and put an electric dehumidifier in there!

It's what I did

Yes, really...........but it WAS soaked after the rear screen seal went.

This stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fr...All-Categories

It's a non-setting mastic, used in the caravan industry to bed things in on 'van bodies so that they don't leak......ever.

It's what I use on my rear lights, and advise others to use: cheap enough, works AMAZINGLY well and doesn't EVER go hard.

Whatever you use, you must avoid silicone, (it comes away after a while, and the lights will be a pain to remobve if you ever need to) and stuff like TigerSeal/SikaFlex...it will seal brilliantly, but if the lights get damaged ever, you will NOT get them off.

Using carafax, they just pull off. Tidy up the sealant and they will go back using the same stuff, time and time again.

^^ what he said, sealed my lights up perfectly ^^

Word of advise though, when using the sealant make sure you wear OLD clothes and if you have any wear latex gloves as its a PAIN to get off.

I've just done my boot spoiler holes with the same stuff as that was where my water was coming in!

(I forgot I changed my spoiler, last minute, for NBO with the intention of taking it off the next day to seal it properly. As you may have guessed I forgot about it )

Im having similar issues ive sat in the boot and had the mrs soak the back end and you can see the water come in at the bottom of the seal next to the boot lock and build up just inside then trickle into the wheel well. the seal doent seem flat so very weird.

Is it new boot seal time? - and is subaru the only place to get them?

Mine did similar.

You could TRY some carafax along the inside of the seal. Remove seal, apply thin bead of carafax, reseat seal.

It stopped mine.

Aye, same stuff, prices vary. Mine was £3.50 delivered off ebay.

Have you tried adjusting the boot to shut tighter? It's all in the locking mechanism......

Yes, simple enough.

Loosen* the bolts holding the catch and tap the catch down about 5mm. Retighten bolts.

*Loosen means just that. Just enough so it will move if tapped.

Thanks will give it a go - so from looking at it head on tap it up to make it grab tighter

Yes, the one on the boot lid.
Or try the catch itself in the boot: tap that down.

Keep BOTH vertical: both sides must move the same amount, don't let it get at an angle.

Do it a few mm at a time.
