We paid less than £500 last year and the new X5 is not much more.

I didn't pay that but that's what they asked for (actually it was £1500 they wanted) when insurance premiums shot up last year. LV were much less.

Are you saying you pay £500 for the RS??

For me a big plus using LV is that you can phone them up and get things sorted sensibly and quickly.

I had a go getting some motor quotes using the usual on-line stuff and it was a nightmare. 4 or 5 pages filling in the bloody forms only to find out that they wouldn't offer insurance for some reason or other that they don't alert you to at the outset. dl

I have had my classic insured with LV since new (havent made a claim tho') -- and only paying £250 ! -- but I am Old (my house is insured with SAGA....!!)
