Aren't Christians to be childlike before God?

 

My children are made to do religious education at school, they are both very switched and know none of it is true. What a waste when they could be doing extra mathematics or geography that would actually help toward better prospects for their future.
Edit, I do however appreciate other people have beliefs and religions.

By the way, I am also not liking this blackmail that in order to enter His kingdom, I have to let one of his side kicks in to my life. Why? That really is not fair.

Also, I don't think just by letting Jesus or even Buddha in to my life would guarantee anything unless I change my deeds that make up my life. You may advise me to just let Jesus in, and rest will change automatically. I'm not so sure; knowing me. Magic will happen when I change my deeds, not just with me merely letting him in for his Father's name's sake.

Now you may argue that actually my deeds aren't changing because I'm keeping Jesus at my arm's length. Well, may be that's what it is.

What do you mean by some are sinners saved? Do you mean- "....it's just that some sinners are saved"? If latter, then I would also like to believe that, James. As long as they can eventually unmess the mess they made, they should certainly be saved.

If you meant former, then please explain what you meant by that. In my humble opinion, there's no way anyone could be sinners saved. Everyone has been affected by the sinners at some point in their life. I will exclude God from that 'everyone'- obviously.

I don't believe that Christ is one of God's sidekicks, I believe that Jesus is God incarnate. If you don't want to let Him in to your life then that's up to you. I didn't have a choice in the matter.

I believe that you are justified by faith in Jesus Christ and by faith alone. One then needs to strive to not knowingly sin and demonstrate one's faith and regeneration through works. All of this is granted by God's grace.

I believe that's a certainty.

Sin can't be undone by the sinner, but can be forgiven by the Lord if the sinner is elected to receive His grace. Not everyone is elected.

As above, if one is baptised in the Holy Spirit they are saved and will enter the Kingdom of God.

So, what you are saying is that Jesus is the only way; for you. I can't see any problem with that.

The fact is, I can't possibly shut my door to God. How can I; to something so fluid and ever-present everywhere? Just that my faith doesn't narrow down to only one metaphor for the ultimate humanity. And it surely is up to me to keep my faith 'open' to as many metaphors, not just for the one and one alone.


Regeneration through work is same as improving on your deeds, I think? I agree that it is granted by God's grace. As I said before, my God is much versatile and magnificent to be trapped in just one metaphor and that metaphor alone.


One needs to let in Jesus or none, as per your first link. As I said, I can't possibly keep God away despite all my sins. Jesus is God incarnate, so he's welcome, I don't mind. At one condition that He can't boast about Himself and Himself alone.

HA! I won't regret if He's going to be that arrogant about it.

Each time I feed a hungry mouth, I visit His grand Kingdom. That's my baptism, that's my ritual and my ritual alone for the purpose. Amen.
