I've just googled "tv falls on child" OMG one child dies on average every two weeks due to TV's falling on them!

Let's remember the OP is talking about a 20" LCD here, not a 50" plasma monster.

It would probably stay up with nothing more than gaffa tape, if you used enough

Right well both brackets are on the wall

The new Plasma bracket is up on the party wall

8X 10x100 Fischer fixings & 4x 8x85 wall anchors

Same as the original bracket downstairs

The 20"lcd is up on the plasterboard wall as well

Subject to some modiifcations lol

The original swivel & tilt bracket had 3 fixings in the vertical plane only ?? and weighed a ton lol

Its now a tilt only bracket and mounted in a 4 square configuration

I had to use spring toggles in the end. The other type just span out when i went to set them, so i changed to toggle types

All can give issues though:

spring/toggle can work loose
Corkscrews sometimes don't bite well enough or split the plaster (unless a pilot hole is drilled first - even though they are supposed to be self drilling )
And the anchor bolts can just spin round

Your reccomended type didnt set lol...they just ripped a big hole in the surface of the plasterboard...

Just used spring toggles in the end
