Whoa! Stop listening to yourselves haters and stick to the facts. Android was sold on over 50% of Smartphones, the question is how come Android browsed the web so little in 2011? I don't care if you're posing with your phone whilst using the web, your still using your phone.

Some of Apples figures are dubious compared to independent sources, but we wont go there

Stamping my feet. Hardly. Just look at the comments following my post - including yours - if you want to see playground behaviour. Any real answers or are you too busy playing with Lego?

Oooo, someone has pressed Jack buttons. Love it.

People who don't like Apple, just say as much and why.

Certain Apple users on here feel that they have to justify their choice and convince others of their own inferio........sorry......superiority.

Move on and get a life.

This thread had at one point 'matured' into where there was some reasoning, well written posts and even some understanding of what the thread SHOULD be about.

It has now gone the usual way of these threads as the children all argue about who has the better toys to play with, it wouldn't be so bad but a lot of the posts are clearly trolling for effect.

FFS, will some of the people on this thread please grow up.

Trouble is Jack, is that information on how much % of net useage isnt going to be accurate, for example what area does it cover?
Is it just the US or is it also Asia (we wouldnt be able to do anything like that due to data protection )
The facts are interesting but I dont see x tablet v ipad, it just shows android/windows etc.

Tony

It's global. Go to http://www.netmarketshare.com and you can choose your region if you like.

Data protection has nothing to do with it.

It may have a webkit based browser, an Apple product used on all Android devices, but it's not Safari.

You never really see apple users digging at android users from nowhere. So many people love slagging iPhones just because they either can't afford them or aren't allowed to spend the money by their mummies or wives. Then they make it their life mission to slate apple because they've settled for second best. Nothing wrong with second best but FFS just get over it, you're fighting a losing battle trying to change our minds. It's a shame really as some of the devices are nearly (aside from cheap plasticky feel and poor UI) there, but the owners just give them a bad name.

What I'd like is Sony to come out with a killer device, I used to love their p900 series. I wish they'd grown them better.

I actually wanted to change from iPhones recently and tried the s2 and HTC sensation, I bought the HTC. It was ok but after using an iPhone I found it so frustrating to navigate and find stuff, it also slowed up and crashed. It went back to O2! And that was comparing it to the 3GS.

I refused to buy an iPhone 4 because of apples responce to the antenna issue, which was rediculous! I bought the 4s as they seem to have addressed this and my 3GS was looking very tired.

I'm no fanboy, I actually ditched apple tv because I thought it was a rip off too far with iplayer charges to watch tv episodes I could have got free on iplayer on a different device.

Funny that as most of the slagging off has come from Jack and Ant!
Two Uber-Apple-Fanboys. I wouldn't be surprised if they sleep with an Apple product under their pillow.

Thing is ,even it were a good enough combination of phone camera internet , do yo really want 600 + quid in one unit to lose
I think im still happy with spending half that on a reasonable phone and a proper compact

I'm going to call you out on that. Show me where I have slagged off anything, I come on here and give Apple a round of applause when they do good. You show me where I've slagged something off, anything.
