iPad 2 owners
Interesting conundrum here then. Scoobynet runs on vBulletin as do a myriad of other sites. So if Scoobynet is the only site with an issue then they have it misconfigured somehow (and the many bugs that we keep reporting that the mods keep ignoring would support that).
However something like vBulletin shouldn't be able to be misconfigured so badly it crashes a web browser so it begs the question whether the software is in fact not very good whatsoever or whether the problem is with the iPad.
So I guess the question is do other vBulletin sistes have the same issues?

I thought IB owned vBulletin, could be wrong. Anyhow, no doubt it's all vBulletin as the forums are full of people complaining, so I'm told, it's driving people so nuts they're prepared to sell their iPad! Who knew Scoobynet held such value.
Pretty much always works for me, but then I forget and nearly toss the iPad through the window when I lose a chunk of typing. Imagine how good some of my posts could have been if I was using a Galaxy Tab.
So if the BB software is at fault then why did it run without issue on iOS 4.XX?
All the faults reported on the Apple support forums are not just people using Scoobynet you know...
There is a fault with iOS5 and Safari, it's just that Apple are not acknowledging the fault as they don't even know how to fix it as even the Apple gods known as a 'genius' (an oxymoron if ever there was one) can't sort it either.
I'm a loyal Apple user but this is really starting to p1$$ me off and if it carries on for much longer I will jump ship.

You can get a mini notebook for half the price. You can download and actually save files, use the BBC news site, watch Flash videos, use USB devices, output to a larger screen, etc. etc....... but it doesn't say Apple or look cool of course!
As in sell the iPad 2 and when my iPhone comes up for renewal go for an Android based mobile.
As much as I admire your brand loyalty your failure to even acknowledge a well known problem since the introduction of iOS 5 really does you no favours.

). I was hoping there would be a fix - but it seems its a bit more insiduous than an OS browser without a plugin. Boardroom ***** waving seems to be the culprit rather than software
? Still - guess this is old news for most of you
Shame as it could be such a good device - so slick in many other areas.
It is proving a bit of a dealbreaker (err being in the video industry too

To add insult to injury all the encodes I have come up with play on all Android devices I have tried

Still at least I know more about FFMpeg encoding than I ever thought possible to know

You can do all that on an iPad, why would you buy a netbook, basically a fad that's already over.
Scoobynet need to update but don't care.
Steve would go to YouTube and download some videos, then he'd copy their format. Or are you being a bit silly and trying to deliver the same file to all devices, one size fits all, please tell me you haven't fallen into that pit.
No you can't do any of that on an out of the box iPad. There is no file system to download to for starters. Yes I know it should all be in the Cloud, but we aren't there in terms of connectivity yet. People still want to work offline. Apple have a haboit of killing things before the replacement is ready!
When you find yourself in such a situation, just ask "What would Steve do?"
