The hawkeye is the better looking of a bad bunch. And as for "typical classic owner" well yes, I'm sure most classic owners like the car because of its certain shape, as you do yours. I have the choice after xmas of spending up to £10k on a s/h scoob, but i've not seen anything i like except maybe the WR1, and the car is likely to continue to depreciate. Instead i think i'll buy another classic and strengthen internals, build from scratch with an emphasis on durability rather than peak power.
Not every classic buyer does so out of restriction.
