I welcome all cultures to our Homeland and hope they integrate and be happy. Some folks won't accept this and will be vocal about their concerns.
She is not the brightest, but is voicing her opinions, which as far as I am aware is not against the law

Not sure where ww2 come from but hay ho. Ive got nothing against anyone inc the polish although where I live half of our population is now polish and locals do suffer getting jobs.im having to travel 90 miles each way every day to go to work so i can pay the bills and to save for the baby were having but this week found out I have no more work untill Xmas because a new foreign contractor can do the job cheaper so I have a good reason for not likeing them being here but I do not hold it against them.as for ww2 pudding that's a different time and story

I have no time for racists. I detest them with a passion, and there are a few who like nothing better than stirring up racist bull$hit on this board, but at the end of the day, she has an opinion. I may not agree with it, but that to me is not a criminal offence.

I agree with you to an extent. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but she went a bit too far.

She was agressive, racist towards that woman and showing total disregard for her own child or others when spouting such filth. She also looked a bit drunk, so maybe they threw in a 'drunk in charge of a minor' offence also.

I imagine the police were looking at the bigger picture here, and not just the rant itself.

But like Lee, I don't really care much for racist people, their prejudice tends to run so much deeper than judging people because of their skin colour and it's very sad.

The one thing you cannot do is legislate away any kind of attitude, just the overt expression of that attitude, and that does't work; it just leads to incidents such as this one where people resent what they see as repression of their right to free speech .....

Ever noticed how the people who are are most inclined to brandish the "right to free speech" are the one's least empowered to use it effectively.

It's like being at a Spa or beach: attractiveness is inversely correlated with the inclination to remove one's clothing!

Not that bad a area, mostly ex-council houses by the looks of it, which barring the odd abomination are well kept. Average house prices are around £190K (£230K during the boom, £100K pre-boom ). Very well served area - parkland, school, doctors, dentists, vets, minor injuries clinic, shops, bus stops at both ends of the road and a tram stop, all within easy walking distance! I wish our area were that well served. There's very little within walking distance where I live (manky chip shop, expensive offy, rough boozer and a paper shop/spar, there's good butchers though ).

Absolutely no reason to fuel her racial emotions, barring sharing the bus/tram/clinic/school with the great unwashed. Or maybe the guy in the paper shop down the road who speaks little English short changed her a few too many times)?

Initial defence is she's suffered depression since she was 18. At a wild guess, I'd say that in other words that means at the end of her childhood the reality struck she couldn't achieve her hopes or dreams, and has since blamed that on everyone else. A product of a society that gives and encourages false hopes and dreams above and beyond the reality. Just look at the X-factor auditions to prove that - so many people thinking they are something special, then it all comes crashing down when they are told, no, actually you're rather sh*t.
