Is my diesel car making my wife sick?

Almost
Probably the saloon. I think it looks as good if not better and the added practicality makes sense. I've read it doesn't lose much to the coupe in terms of handling.
You can pick up 2010 models for a very good price but because life is never simple the 2011 model has a completely updated (and nicer) interior and also the 'wet' clutch which is much faster.
These are still big money, especially the ones with the optional AMG performance package that ups the power to 487 BHP
But I'm getting that itch and it will only be a matter of time before it has to be scratched

No way it's the diesel otherwise millions would die of noxious fumes!
Must be too smooth, maybe a bit wallowy; or has she recently taken up reading in the car?
Get something loud, firm and fast enough to scare any queasiness away.

Some diesel BMWs are prone to cracking the exhaust manifold & passing poisonous gasses into the cabin. Often the cracks are small & a blow isn't heard, your wife may be more sensitive to it than you. Get it checked out ASAP.
