It is mid engined and doesn't share its chassis with a rather hateful shopping car. Those are far more important features than its outright acceleration which is probably quicker than many things that have been called supercars anyway. The fact it costs significantly more to buy and run compared to said shopping cars only adds to the likelihood of it being considered a supercar.
It has attitude in terms of how low and wide it is, the concept/exotic looks, the V8 noise. It is so much more than other cars with a tweak that may accelerate similarly.

Now now, play nicely I meant in a supercar show off kind of way, it's a posing machine.
Lovely looking cars, no doubts about it, I really like them, just could have done with that V10 from the beginning rather than them using the lazy V8 from the RS4. V10 is an animal, I'd love 1, although admittedly I would probably still pick a 997TTS (Over any other car out there full stop)

I think its more to do with disposal income than growing up. Value for money a scoob which ever model, year, or state of tune tends to always give significantly better smiles per £.
I would love some of what I would classify as exotica I regularly enjoy reading in this section. But the price differential is astronomical just for a few creature comforts.
To the original poster Love the Audi btw. Enjoy.! But its still just an Audi.

So that's all you need to know about me Trouty boy, I'm not a big supercar fan due to the small ***** syndrome image they tend to give off
R8's are nice and Im sure the O.P will enjoy, the V8 handles very well from what I hear and sounds lovely too.

That's not a problem to me. I prefer the R8 to the Carrera 4S. Horses for courses.
The V10 powered R8 is the 911 Turbo. Both can be specced to the same price. Both are about the same speed.
R8 or 911? You decide?
Same as when growing up, you were either a Ford man, XR, RS. Or you were in the Vauxhall camp.
So, do I think my R8 is a supercar? No. It's a sports car.
And a fooking nice one at that.
Would I be bothered if a breathed on TT-RS could beat me in a straight line? Not in the slightest.

Thats lovely, Mate. I was next to aV8 R8 going into a roundabout yesterday. It both looked and sounded stunning. Very rare on the roads, particularly compared to the TT.

Nice to see somebody buying a car that they are obviously chuffed by and that will bring a smile to their face everyday.
Well done and indulge in the moment, it's what memories are made of.

Best of luck with your great new car,I thought I better let you know that these are the fastest cars over speed humps, after following a certain premiership footballer who took them at lets just say great speed ,the sparks where at least very impressive.
