Well after reading the thread that was linked to above i tried to ring again, landline now has a message that it's a restricted service so off to police station now as it looks like they've stolen my car, money and a load of parts that were supposed to be fitted

Well that was useless, gave me the great advice to take an hour and half trip to go and see them because it's a contact problem! And, if when i get there the garage is cleared out and my cars not there, i can't report them for theft because i willingly gave them the car! What a fkin joke!!!
Just seen their facebook page, my car's on it!!!
Mine is the orange one hiding on the right, old pic tho as it's not looked like that since march lol.

I'd either try and get hold of the landlord, with a bit of digging on the net they shouldn't be too hard to find, or take a ride down with a few mates to see if your car is there. If it is retake possession of your car plus any parts you have paid for TBH though, I'm surprised you've let it go this long without killing someone.

Well I've found Chris on here, user name bonescnj for anyone that's interested. Tried sending a PM but his inbox is full, no doubt compliments from all the happy customers.

I'm really not supprised at the response you got from the police. Unless it easy pickings they really don't seem interested, in fact they'd probably only get involved if you went round and took your car back. You'd end up down the station on suspicion of theft.

@ gus sti8: that'd be a big help, cheers. Spoke to trading standards & a solicitor earlier, best course of action looks like attempting reposession of my car then court action for the losses so knowing if they're still there or not would be really helpful

If you want a hand collecting me and a few others from here would be glad to assist. Try getting in touch with the land lord to gain entry because the law frowns upon taking a stihl saw to doors.

Cheers everyone, just hoping everything goes ok with attempting to get it back. One big prob though, i've got a spare alarm fob but no spare key so could be in need of a trailer or a flatbed. Or a way to break the lock on the steering column so i can tow it away???

I would get that car trailered back asap regardless of what condition its in.
Heard too may stories of garages going bust & customers cars going astray or missing parts. One they'r bankrupt you wont get anything back at all.
Get it back as is, dont tell them your coming, just go in with a few mates & a flatbed pickup & get your car back mate. Put it down to experience & next time only send it to a reputable, known garage where you agree a time scale, costs etc in advance. And never let it stretch on for months & months.
