Hi
Jim, not convinced by the new M5 yet, and then of course there is the small matter of it's price and depreciation!
Stilover, look forward to seeing pics of the R8!
Scoobydoo555, I'd go for the RS4, wouldn't the 348 be a dog to drive by today's standards?
BH, the project car already looks in quite good nick!
Thanks for the replies, driving around in this diesel 5 series means I need to get my car kicks somewhere!

No thrilling news from this end, just will hang onto the GTR as whilst it is a bit wide it is hilarious fun on the deserted roads after moving house, which has taken all I've ever saved and given me a mortgage again, which will get larger when I do some building work next year, and my wife has been out of work for 6 months and is getting an outbuilding at the new house ready to start up with a laser cutter/engraver making craft items. I cannot sensibly justify another expensive (to me) car until I pay off this mortgage. With me spending so much time working on the house I'm doing very little car work, so our household income is half what it was last year but the tax bills still have to be paid.

Thinking about getting a BMW 1 series M coupe next year. We'll see how they drop in value.
It'll be a daily driver, so I'm not sure if I could cope with driving a more obvious scum magnet restricting me on where I can take/park it.
I need to test drive one first. And of there is any hint of turbo lag or dulled throttle response because of the turbos, forget it; I'll stick with the R32. I'm sick and tired of these modern age cars not instantly reacting like they did in the good old days ( ITBs on a E34 M5 = bliss ).
