I managed 18 hours on mine last weekend, i cant remember the full specs of it, but i do remember i had forgot to set the wifi to sleep when the screen is off, so i would expect it to improve a bit.

This was with Villainrom 3.0

I should really start logging the battery use a bit more as a proper test.

Thanks for that. Very tempted now (I rarely get more than 10 hours from my 3gs if I actually use it for anything). Off to the shop tomorrow to see if I can finally offload this Apple rubbish

Not sure on the S2, nice Phone & great specs, but after having 18 months with the original galaxy, i fancy a change...

Ive tried different roms, and only really found one i could get on with (Darkys), although that could be a a bit buggy at times.

TBH it all depends what you really want from the phone, in terms of 2/3g, unless your in a major urban area, 3g is a bit of a let down, with the phone spending more time and battery hunting for a 3g connection than anything else.

Social apps... if you fell the need to splurge gush twatter faceplant, etc, then you cant go wrong and can fill everyones boots to your hearts content.

Media streaming is very good, although again dependant on your plan / network connection.

I'm looking at the Titan or the other HTC equivalent next...

I tried the S2 in the O2 shop last weekend and was very impressed. 99% of my interweb use is over wifi, (hardly ever use 3g), so not worried too much about that. Tried the iPhone 4s in the shop as well, and it felt a bit like a toy in comparison. Considering it was going to cost well over double the price of the S2 for the iPhone, I decided it just wasn't worth it. It's only a phone, and a change is as good as a rest so they say

I have got a sim card with tesco for £10 pm and I get 500 mins, unlimited txt and data.

So I'm gonna buy the s2 as a sim free phone. It can be had for around £400 now. Am going to see if it drops in price after the nexus and razr come out.

Well after all the bad customer support from Apple, issues with their hardware, and issues with their software, I think it's time to try something else.

p.s. I've had a PS3 for years Jack (if fact I've got most consoles made since the Acetronic). Don't use it that much though as the 360 tends to get most of my attention.

That's on Villain Rom 3.0, average use with background data, automatic update. Don't make many calls I just text and on the internet with it really.

Current battery 43%

I have (in my opinion) the worst phone in the world to make calls on through work a BB9700, of which I'm on my 5th since August last year
