Why is buying a new PC so complex

No, not hard, but it's also knowing what to buy and ensuring that the bits are compatible with each other. I wouldn't recommend someone to build a PC if they have never undertaken such a task before, at least not with proper guidence for fear of zapping the components.

In fact I have just bought a 1TB external disc, so space isn't really an issue at this time. I guess I could fit a larger one later if required.
At least we have something we nearly agree on!
