No, not hard, but it's also knowing what to buy and ensuring that the bits are compatible with each other. I wouldn't recommend someone to build a PC if they have never undertaken such a task before, at least not with proper guidence for fear of zapping the components.

I've built one before, but don't have the inclination to do it now. I just want something that works.

The Acer thing looks OK, although out of stock.

How would this compare:

In fact I have just bought a 1TB external disc, so space isn't really an issue at this time. I guess I could fit a larger one later if required.

At least we have something we nearly agree on!

Yes 1TB external HDD should be OK for music etc.Yes you could add there 2nd HDD without the problem at future.

Just bought a 27 inch mac.

Now I feel I should be getting COD4 purchased.
