If you can push to £1000 you can get a brand new set of Bilsteins which can't compare with chinese/taiwanese cheap stuff.

Go for it Craig. Found some today for mine off eBay via drift works online shop brand new for £650 where they wanted £750 on the proper store for exactly the same so I quickly snapped them up!

C1r in Stourbridge fitted them for me, They went on quite easily but we had trouble getting enough camber on the front, I just about managed to pull 1.5 degrees maxing everything out, need to add some camber bolts if I want to run more but apart from that no complaints yet!

all this talk of how hard etc imo comes down to spring rates.used my hsd monopros for a few months with the standard set up of 8 and 6.it really has got on my nerves, its either hard as or on soft which was nothing more than a ridiculous bounce down the road.bit the bullet and bought 5kg springs all round .totally transformed the car so much better

I think the main questions is what are you using the car for?
Depending on what it is, a certain suspension may be better than another.

Also, it depends on the budget… because you can always get more expensive.
It is getting the most out of your budget that makes the difference.
