well i dont know why that is but its definitely an RA without a shadow of a doubt - and as for the registration thats completely screwed as it comes up as a legacy on insurance companies database.

it has an alloy bonnet, it has a dccd box, it has quick rack steering - its an RA regardless of what your saying
just a quick question although i have not read the whole thread but earlier you said you was the 1st owner in this country but on kentscoobies you said that you purchased this car from your brother inlaw? does your brother inlaw live in japan and can he get me a good deal on buying a car out there so i can import it?

Simon ignore all the ***** on here mate, they can be selective and very snobby if you don't conform. Trouble is they all live a life following trends of others instead of being individial like you, stick with what you've got mate i like it and i most certainly did'nt join scoobynet so i can slag others off. Being on here is like being in a classroom full of class idiots trying to look good by putting others down but infact they are just showing themselfs up, i try to avoid scoobynet nowadays due to the amount of negativity and disrespect going round (apoligies to the good guys).

Hi Si I agree with the above in parts. I also recall you talkin about how this vehicle was purchased, so to all the disbelievers it is true that he bought it from his bro inlaw who was the 1st UK owner from import, might of been due to the body kit me thinks (joke). Some people do get jelous of things and will give negative feedback. I admit that I have done it, had a bad day saw a scoob that had better upgrades than mine and was younger than me so, said something because of it. made me feel better till I read it back and realised what a **** I had been.

Chin up mate it's your project, your car so sod the rest of them they probably spend all that cash on there's just to brag and clean it. Probably for the best as they might get scared driving there cars ha ha

Peace out, word to your mother and all that

Gawd there are some right complete f%kin ****$ on SN....

Simon, ignore them and do you own thing.

Put your pics back up for starters.

Whilst I'm not a fan of the front bumper, the chargespeed kit can be made to look right with the correct wheels/suspension and stance.

I've been through this numerous times with my cars, especially when I first went spoilerless and fitted flares back in 2004...

I shall get them back up - them being down has nothing to do with the folk off here thats for sure.

Many are not, some not sure to start and then change their minds, and other simply love it - same with anything really.

Yes agreed, its desperately calling for wheels to suit - something i will not rush to do but be sure to choose the right ones, thinking of some that are 17in and of a deep dished variety - but want to be sure to choose some that suit perfectly.

At the end of the day you dont buy and modify a car to suit others tastes but your own, granted i didnt fit this kit, but tbh if i had the option i probably would have done it too (well i doubt i could have afforded to tbh as the veilsport front bumper alone certainly costs quite a few pennies haha)

actually after looking further it wasnt that expensive, but still would have required a lot of body work to fit and match to the chargespeed kit

Nice to see something a bit different from Scoobynet in my opinion, from the one picture I see on your profile it looks quite good, cant see any others though, so re-post some if you can.

Don't see how it matters about RA STI WRX etc, once you've done what you have done to it the original badge is irrelevant, as you say you have a UK turbo and I myself have a sport (I'm 21) both wiper less lol.

All I can say is get more pics up of what your doing instead of arguing with people about a badge :P I logged on to see a project not a argument! Good luck.

exactly what i said on the previous page dude, at the end of the day when one tinkers with a car to this level it really does not matter what it originally was lol! As at present its well above the rest in terms of appearance and performance (in my opinion of course )

Server errors are on-going may have to relocate them to another one for the time being

I know there has been a lot of fuss over this car but everyone is just making a valid point. What's to say that the OP had bought this car in the knowledge that it was an RA and no one corrected him, if I bought a car expecting it to be one thing but it turned out to be something else then I'd be pissed. We only comment as we feel we are adding value. Sorry if this offends you. If you like the car and believe it too be an ra then so be it, sorry we offered you some advice.

Oh and here is my new 206 what do you think??

Do a search for hindustan ambassador, if you don't get the point I'm making.

Just to clarify I AM NOT KNOCKING THE CAR EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND THAT'S A GOOD THING.

Keep us posted on the progress.

Hiya there mate, loving the colour, defo could do with bringing the wheels out, bodykit wise looks good all goes togther nicely although I'm nt that keen on the front bumper but I must admit it does suit the kit. I do like it you don't really see a lot of scoobys with the whole bodykit going on. Hope all the best matey

hi mate, yea its asking for some deep disk imo - although not usually common on a classic scoob i think its the only way to go! haha not many are, but when your there standing in front of it.. soon you love it lol (well that was the case for me anyway lol). It does tie in well, and i love the stance it gives (look at the side picture), it just sits really really nicely.

and thats only the looks, shes got a lot more going for it under the hood

This is the sort of look you should be going for if you are going to carry on down the bodykitted route:

that certainly is a beaut!

I shall be going the carbon fibre route - bonnet, rear spoiler, etc - all in time.

What are those wheels??? they set that off a treat, may need to get photoshopping some on lol

note the standard facelift front bumper, knocks the socks off your veilslag bumper IMHO. the carbon sets it off nicely & I think your car would look better with the carbon against your colour than the Blue on this one. Not sure what the wheels are, but Speak to MAGGY & see what deals he can do on some ROTA drifts, they would fill the arch & look decent, just don't have too much stretch or it will look like a V-Dub.

yea i will agree with you there it works nicely - well theres another reason im worried about the "veilslag" as you put it lol, im not sure if an FMIC will actually fit behind it :S and im in dire need of one, the standard TMIC is just not good enough, theres far too much heat building up and if im to up my power anymore im going to run into some problems - so i actually think (even if i wanted to) i lack the choice to retain this bumper, its just not going to work without damaging it.

Yea well you'll see my scoops are currently in CF and on their own they suit against the colour however the laqure has recently started to peel :/ but yea, CF bonnet and a lip like that on the front bumper will look really nice! A move i think i'll have to make.

Ok cool may just do that.

cheers
