Are these going to be added to the original project thread?
I know they won't make comfortable reading for the seller, but they are the facts.

Seller has copies of these reports so probably won't make a difference to HIS libellous claims.

As a point of fact, the report is incorrect.

A JDM sti Spec C engine does not have forged pistons, and hasn't done for some years. The OEM engine is a stout beast however.

Other issues aside there is more to the failure than just a type of piston.

The issues may be down to the incorrect plugs but it is not proven, cylinders 2 and 4 are generally more det prone than 1 and 3.

If the split was large enough in the inlet pipe it may have been an issue, but there is no way to prove the split didn't develop after purchase.

A likely cause is a map that wasn't appropriate for the car, it may well be the engine was changed and no attempt to ensure the new engine and existing mods were properly accommodated by the map on the ECU.

I have no links with either party, just pointing out pertinent information.

100% agree, a point I made on the locked thread Given the naivety of the seller about mapping in general and his publicly visible recent introduction to opensource via Engine Mapper, it's no surprise the rebuilt engine was subjected to the original aggressive (360/390 IIRC) Bob Rawle Ecutek map. Not the brightest way to run your engine in

If Ross had known it was a rebuild there is no way on gods earth he would have bought it, but definitely not driven it hard, let alone be happy with a run in map such as this.

The seller is a tool at best How you can sell Subarus when you know kak all about them is beyond me. Go on ***y what's the offset of an STi wheel

The more you post the more I despair at the complete void of knowledge lol

Threats? Erm okay, whatever. Just give it a rest. But to answer the question though, enjoying the weekend.

Seeing this is once again being a continuation of the locked/deleted threads combined with the above quoted cynicism: Guess what? This one is locked too.

PS. Project thread's opening post has had the information seen on page three added in respect of the OP's polite request (via PM).
