Question

Had my Tracker system audited and checked today as I have just had it transfered from the previous owner.

Guy told me that Tracker do not detect it has moved unless it travels 3 miles in 5 minutes. I think he might be talking rubbish, but will be checking with Tracker tomorrow morning.

Exclamation

Des G - Carryduff. A total of 600 crimes last year for 25000 people. One of the lowest crime rates in NI and probably UK.

Everyone else who is shaking in their boots-
I had a 50 something female insurance investigator visit today. I explained that my main concern was that some f**kwit had got into the house without my knowledge and that the money and goods etc were not my major concern at this particular moment in time, but that i would rather take care of the future safety of my family. She asked me to set the security systems as they where last week and demonstrated all the loopholes in about 3 minutes. She then proceded to tell me that my house was one of the most secure that she had visited!!!!!!! Scary or what. She suggested that I get local plod Crime prevention officer to review the house security and make suitable recommendations. At this point in time I think you should probably all do the same.

On the car front. I got renewal quotes today for my preferred car (scoob) and a 275 BHP M-tech tuned Beamer 328. Guess what? Scoob 5 grand. Beamer (more powerful, higher top speed, poorer handling, more likely to hit a brick wall) 900 quid. WTF is going on here.

Also -- Thanks for all your support. Scoobynet and particularly The muppet forum is the only thing keeping me at my current manageable level of insanity

Yikes, not far from me either

And what the hell is with the 5 grand quote for the scoob insurance!

Did you try the usual suspects, or is that just your current ins co, persuading you not to get another scoob?

Bad news M8,
But if it`s any consolation, similar thing happened 2 me about 9 months ago. Little toe rags came into the kitchen while my girlfriend and I were watching telly, nicked the keys and Scooby.
Good news, my car was spotted 5 times by the police the next day, in Birmingham. Not suprisingly they couldnt catch it. Eventually later that day it was spotted by 2 off duty officers who followed it at a distance in their unmarked car. Bingo . . when the scumbags parked up and can you believe it, locked my car, the 2 officers jumped out and arrested 2 of them, the driver unfortunately ran off. So dont give up hope yet.
Finally, about a month ago the police contacted me 2 say at long last they had accumulated enuff evidence and the scumbags had been re-arrested and would be in court next month. Good Luck SCOOP.

Bad news. I really, really, REALLY hope something very nasty happens to these people. I don't sleep well anymore-not coz of my car, but am always listening for sounds downstairs. Makes me SOOOOO fekin angry the thought of intruders. If I caught someone breaking & entering, I reckon I would have a body to get rid of.
