Race-Tin mini R/C Order

I bought one today, Evo 6 replica. £20, amazing! You can set the steering biased to do donuts and it's really controllable. I work in Guildford and bought them from a Vid game shop in Aldershot (Kart..something or other) if anyone's interested - he also said he's going to stock spares too.
Brilliant toy for the office, highly reccomended. Buy one.......

Bob,
I don't appear to have had a reply to the email I sent you at lunchtime about the motor. However, I've ordered you one with a motor upgrade anyway, just to complete the order.
I shouldn't have any problems ammending the order though, so if you could send it again it would be appreciated. To either josh@apexphoto.co.uk or josh@qlsltd.com, it makes no odds they both come to me at home.

I thought those of you who've ordered might be interested in the email I received from the suppliers in Singapore. These figures appear to relate to the upgraded machines (turbo/lights/gearbox/wheels). God knows what those with upgraded motors will do

You cars are undergoing, serious modification now. I actually tested one last night and the top speed was 40km/h using standard motor and 500Mah Ni-cad batteries. However the batteries would only last for 15 minutes. I reckon your customers use at least 700MAh to 1000 MAh NiCAD or 1700MAh NIMH. With thsi the car will easily hit 50km.h easily and last for at least 30 minutes per charge. After modification the car runs on 4 AA batery and one AAA for the turbo

Bravo,
I hope that it's one seriously long drag strip at that speed!!!!
Can't wait for mine to arrive now. And being an Evo, it's gonna be quicker than the Impreza's as standard as well

Very interesting site Allan. Loads for a sad snappa to look at, but the battery thing was a bit beyond me. In the same way that I don't understand why I'm still getting good life out of 12-14 year old Ni-cads, and others haven't lasted 2!
What do you expect, I'm a photographer. I'm just happy that I've mastered that breathing thing at last!

Josh,
If your getting 12-14 years service from Ni-cads that’s very good, you must be looking after them.
I know that some professional suppliers of battery packs i.e “PAG” do a re-cell service, you might already be aware of this, it's cheaper than buying new ones.

Allan,
Unfortunately the few methusela batteries I have are balanced out by those which last marginally longer than a wine gum
However, I don't use many these days, as the Nikons I use have their own battery packs. Consequently, the ni-cad and Ni-Mh batteries I have tend to be used for toys. I've never found them much good for flash guns as their power, although more even, seems to drop like a stone. Not very helpful when a flashgun dies suddenly.
I'll have to start refreshing some of mine in preparation

I might have one or two left over from this order, so if you want to mail me at josh@qlsltd.com, I can keep you informed.
However, from the looks of things, and the continued enquiries, I'll probably have to place another order shortly.

I'll have to see how well received the first lot are. If they go down well, and there is the same level of interest I have at the moment, I might place another order in 10 days or so.
To be honest, my main priority is to get back the SGD$1200+ I've laid out for this order first.
