I was about to argue against you... but I've just had another video of the guy pointed out to me....
I've changed my tune on that one - the cyclist in this case really is a prize idiot.

Christ the second part of that video when he gets hold of the copper it's like a pack mentality as all the other cyclists queue up to put the boot in. Pathetic!!! To be frank both driver and cyclist need removing from the road permanently.
Kieran you may use your cam for fun only and fair play to you, but if people are going to cycle around yelling how they have every incident on cam no matter how small and that one was small then the battle lines are going to be drawn

Shouting and swearing is permissible as we all get angry sometimes however actually getting out of your car and threatening someone even as far as grabbing them is totally unacceptable. All of you on sn who think what the wannabe hard man did was good need to have a word with yourselfs. If you came at me like that you would get knocked the **** out!

That is so true. I used to run a bar many years ago in Manchester and I got quite friendly with one of the regulars. He was late 40s, a stocky chap, quite short and was as polite as.
One night some rugby lads came in and started mouthing off like they do when in a group. Both Dave and I asked them to knock the swearing on the head as Dave's lady was present. They just did it all the more.
About 10 minutes later Dave got up to go to the gents and then the rugby boys really started on his missus with some rather sordid verbal harrassment.
Dave emerged from the gents and strolled back towards his spot and just as he passed the rugby lads he took two of them clean out with one punch each without so much as the slightest indication he was about to do it. The other two fled before they got the same.
Turns out he was ex Special Forces... whoops !

I hope the driver of the car was prosecuted for fannying around on his mobile phone whilst driving.

Second part to that video's even better. Copper looks like he's got far better things to be doing.
My old man used to commute from Hertfordshire to Wapping in the early 80s on his bike. He used to carry a few select stones in his bag should he get dangerously cut up. Oh how times have changed

I see news paper headline in this guys future, and i think that is obviously what he is trying to achieve, some sort of notoriety or internet fame.
Well he seems to have made it in the internet fame department.
Lets hope he does not wind up with the tyre tracks of an 18 wheeler on his back.
Although i seriously see him ending up as road kill one day.
He really is going around looking for trouble, and i suspect one day he will get more than he can handle.

I lived in Romford for many years and know the exact location in the first vid, if the guy that got out is who I think he might be, then the cyclist got off very lightly there.

Quality. I remember a few years back in Bradford town was with Danny my Chinese mate, short lad about 5ft 5 quiet, nice bloke. Were out on a night when some local lads decided they would start taking the **** out of him. Verbal abuse and racist impressions went on for some time and the fact he ignored it angered them more to the point one of them squared up to him (towered above him) and wouldn't let us leave the bar. Little did the tool know Danny is a 3rd degree black belt in Kempo Karate. Anyway a lightening fast open ridge hand to the throat left the loud mouth writhing on the floor gasping for breath like a fish out of water. The others just went silent and moved aside. Was the slickest **** I ever did see
Ian ejected a **** soaked and battered Sacco, me and another lad were dumfounded, asked him how he did it a few days later and he said, army training and left it at that, now squaddies learn stuff but this was amazing, being a lot smaller and still being able to hurt and control a much bigger bloke, he wasnt giving much away and we asked his wife who confirmed he had been in some special unit or other, she showed us a few photographs but he wouldnt go into any details but it shocked me how able he was.

Made the Standard:
A man threatened to punch a cyclist in the face while being recorded by a camera on his helmet.
The cyclist put the video on YouTube and it has been viewed by almost 23,000 people. It is the latest evidence posted online of road rage committed against cyclists.
Footage shows the cyclist negotiate a roundabout leading onto Waterloo Road in Romford. A passenger in a silver Ford Fiesta is seen shouting abuse at him before driving off.
The car then stops and a man gets out of the car. He raises his fist to the face of the cyclist and threatens to punch him, causing him to fall off his bike.
The cyclist, who does not wish to be named, can be heard saying: "What did I do?" The outburst took place shortly before 7pm on July 27.
His video prompted more than 500 comments on YouTube. The cyclist, whose YouTube tag is kmcyc, said: "I have reported this to the police and provided a copy of the video. It is a shame that a few other road users think it's okay to have a pop at cyclists. I hope this man is found soon."
When praised for refusing to retaliate he said: "Violence being the last resort, that thought was furthest from my mind. I was concerned with what this man (the passenger) might do next and equally concerned as to what the driver might do.
"Had they joined in, the odds would have shifted against me significantly."
Kmcyc, who has been cycling for more than 12 years, installed a camera on his helmet about two years ago after a series of near misses with drivers.
A Met spokesman said: "An allegation has been made. No actual assault took place but it is being looked at in terms of a public order offence."

I'm a little worried that the Police don't seem to know the definition of assault though.
