I really can't believe that somebody would become apoplectic over such a relatively minor issue.
Maybe the cyclist did 'get in the way' ever so slightly (blimey it must mean he's human like the rest of us), and he was a bit stupid to threaten the guy with the fact that he's on camera.
Perhaps it's fair enough to exchange a few words in passing if you feel strongly aggrieved, but does it really warrant the kind of behaviour exhibited by the Tooth Fairy? Suppose the person on the bike had been Tooth Fairy's brother or father and committed the same heinous offence. Would he have reacted with the same degree of venom?
The guy's a complete **** and seriously needs to get a life before somebody has a stab at extinguishing the one he's got.

QUOTE=f1_fan;10165176]Another thread where a w4nker cylist gets defended by the SN cycling helmet cam club.
He obviously cut the car up on the roundabout and then yells 'you're on film' at the car.
While the guy's reaction was way over the top if the cyclist had just waved his hand and wasnt filming the whole incident it probably wouldn't have gone any further than that. This whole helmet cam thing is getting out of hand![/QUOTE]
That he cut the car up is an assumption but he may have done, sometimes it happens and as everyone points out on a bike you will come off worse, I think simply him being there was enough for these guys as nobody normal reacts like that to a bike being in the way, thats what the horn is for, he goes past making that noise that people shouting from cars make, you cant actually make out words, sometimes it is like "******" as they can get away and its obviously hillarious for them being a bit simple, sometimes its just a noise designed to make you jump and hopefully fall off (becasue that would be doubly hillarious, casuing injury and some damage) but actual sentences shouted from a moving car, very difficult to decipher so I doubt either heard what the other way saying, we only heard the cyclist as the camera was near his mouth.
So, the Wockney Canker in the Fiesta (proper bad boys motor) just heard a noise, he didnt know what so was just reacting to the cyclist not prentending he had been shouted at, probably best to ignore as people like that are looking for something to pick on, so dissatisfied with their life as a passenger in a Fiesta wearing a daft hat.
Nothing that cyclist could have done justifies that tirade of incomprehensible gibberish, suspect the passenger was probably a bit drunk.
Its funny how all the "Hard Men" intimidate by getting in someones face, I am in no way hard or skilled but I know if you are in that situation and come up against someone who does know some stuff its a very dangerous game to play, so, to my mind that is an angry bellend who thinks he is tough who gets away with it as most people arent that aggressive but he will do that to the wrong person and learn a very painful lesson.
As for the cameras, I dont use one, but they do seem to be capturing a lot of angry exchanges with ranting drivers, probably best to just chill out a bit on the roads and not react like that to everything like a bloody mental Dog.

Im with the cyclist on this... N I DONT WEAR A CAMARA) or cycle much for that matter.
The passangers actions were unnessacery.
reguardless of how much road there is you still need to be curtious of a cyclist as they are more vunerable.
When I cycle I try to stay to pavments but you can't always do this. When I drive I always approach a cyclist with caustion as you never know if they are going to single correctly or do something stupid and just pull out.
Personally the Fiesta should have been more considerate... Cyclist carry a screw driver and next time stab the **** in the face!

Cycling home last night I was hit on the shoulder by a half full can of coke, thrown from the window of a chaved up civic.
Worth pointing out that my only crime was being a cyclist (those that know me, know I follow the highway code to the very last detail, my pet hate is **** hole cyclists running reds etc etc).
Considering that this was totally unprovoked, it goes to show that the attitude shown by GC8WRX is alive and well north of the border too
The irony being that because I live in the sticks, I even know where the coke chucking shed driver lives...
Hmmmmm...

It's possible it's already happened. If a cyclist was found potted after a hit and run, it might not be clear whether or not they were deliberately squished!

Coke can boy and his passenger will get what's due, more or less sorted already. Cheers for the offer of the posse though

On the whole I have had very few problems. 6 years of cycle commuting daily with a handful of incidents and in hindsight a few of those earlier ones I have to take some blame for as I have mellowed considerably with more city cycling experience gained.

Oh, and "anytime". They'll find it hard to drive off with two flat tyres, won't they?

This just seems to be a case of road rage, usually occurs between car drivers both safely enclosed in their metal box so it is difficult for the situation to escalate to physical threats or violence. At the end of the day you can just lock your doors and drive off, unfortunatly cyclists have no car to protect them from physical assaults or threats so easily become a target for the aggressor.
I don't think cameras are a bad thing as long as they are only used to record and not to threaten or warn off other road users. We have cameras installed in cars now to provide evidence in case of accidents so why not have them for cyclists.

Not sure what some car drivers think someone on a bike is supposed to do on a rab in busy trafic didn't appear to do anything other than what he should, it's a bike ffs he cant do 0 to 30 in 3 seconds.
I would really love to see one of these tw@ts get mangled by a psycolist.
Like the yob that got dropped on the council estate by the karate guy.

Ha ha ha ha ha...
I remember seeing that kinda stuff in the playground..10 men walk then arm cocked ready to punch someone..
If he was serious he just would have punched the cyclist...Cyclist should have dismounted and called the little mockney's bluff..
I would have left the **** in kit form, southern tw@t...

One night some rugby lads came in and started mouthing off like they do when in a group. Both Dave and I asked them to knock the swearing on the head as Dave's lady was present. They just did it all the more.
About 10 minutes later Dave got up to go to the gents and then the rugby boys really started on his missus with some rather sordid verbal harrassment.
Dave emerged from the gents and strolled back towards his spot and just as he passed the rugby lads he took two of them clean out with one punch each without so much as the slightest indication he was about to do it. The other two fled before they got the same.
Turns out he was ex Special Forces... whoops !

I got mine for the fun stuff.... on the odd occasion I've seen the bad as well, but the good outweighs the bad by a huge margin.
I think a lot of people are focussing on the wrong thing here: the camera - what you're seeing is a complete pratt acting all hard and are only able to pass your own judgement on it because the other guy happened to have a camera to record it.
However - there ARE some people out there (not just on bikes) who do go looking, it's obvious in some cases; but I do not believe that is the case here.
