I understand some of us do & should have regards for bikers when it comes to safety. Nobody wants to intenionally hurt a biker for no reason.

However, I can't believe how consious of bikers we are being here. I wouldn't exactly call the majority of bikers safe people. Majority is a key word here.
The amount of times I've seen bikers doing the speed limit on an open road, I could probably count on one hand.
Bikers for some reason just can't appear to stick to the speed limits.

I'm not for one minute saying I always stick to the speed limit. But I make sure no one is around me firstly. Secondly, If I catch somebody up I just take my time like they do, unless they take the Michael of course.

On back roads round here it is quite easy to do a constant 60 both on the strats and around quite twisty roads in cars but bikes drop to 30 on most corners and floor it on straits.
Sorry but biker was in the wrong and also speeding.
The biker was speeding, granted. However the OP admits to overtaking on a bend. There's very few bends on a public road that you'd either want to, or be safe to overtake on.

I think it usually goes like this: Filter to the front, engage neutral, then when light change, engage 2nd gear, try to pull away, stall (or nearly stall) then regain balance so not fall off. Then flip the bird to any car that tries to get past.

Still not as bad as the influx of quad bikes pratting about at the moment.

Agreed .. I have no issue with bikes and to be honest am always impressed with the power and sound .. happy to move out of their way as I am with anyone wanting to pass me, but I don't like being overtaken and then forced to drive how they feel is best ..

this isn't one or two either .. its a few a day ..

I'm with pimmo2000, I don't have a problem with bikers, I do have a problem with people who overtake or rush to pull out in front of me then drive like they're carrying the Pope, that's not just bikers, plenty of cars have done that.

Some times I just wish I could drive like this

I've had many good times with the guys on their bikes and when you can live with them or beat them they are a lot more respectful than car drivers.

Often bunches of guys have wanted me to pull over, (and I do) and they are full of respect and many are right into their cars too.

Cracking bunch !

Me too I ride and if I see a bike coming up behind me I let them pass.

My car goes around a corner much faster than my bike does and I am a experienced rider, it's nothing to do with how fast you can go round a corner it's the roads they are in such a state to fly round as quick as you can knee down is almost impossible these days on two wheels, but with four wheels you can and AWD too.

Shame on you mate, look at the bigger picture and stop moaning, you must have put the guy in a position he was trying to hard and made a mistake, more full him for trying to hard but you never helped matters I bet..
