Cheers guys, ill give some alloy cleaner a go. On a side note would Brasso get the scale off the pipes??

Looks superb, mind if I ask, did you polish it in direct sunlight? Looks like the suns out in force there.. Just curious...

brasso will work just fine, only difference is it'll take me elbow grease as it's an abrasive so requires rubbing to romove the dirt. Alloy cleaner is an acid so with remove the grease chemicaly

Magical!

Did much the same to my black STi, used turtlewax black box, and a whole lot of luvvin' (pics in the gallery) Arm hurt for days, but well happy with the results.

Remember - it ain't how fast it goes, its how shiny you keep it...

Sorry Rez, just noticed this - a bit late I know... The answer is yes I do sometimes polish in sunlight.
Basically I clean the car in all but the extremes of weather as I find waiting for optimum or even close to optimum means the car stays dirty for a long time!

ended up doing mine in sunlight too, it was fine
