hmmmm I see what happened here have your name mixed up with speed freak?
if you read it all am on both sides, thing i dont agree with is sending people round to people threating each other over something that was simply missed by both party's.
I can see were your coming from Speed also see were Phil coming from ,put your self in his shoes, would you beleave after 10 weeks.

if some one ripped me off for £200 i would go up and see him or his car it would cost him ten times that . and when he has fixed it do it again .untill he has paid .the good thing about that is when it happen for the 10th time he would be thinking a wish i never ripped that bloke off for £200.

As for your comment baldy, you actually bought something from Phil (yes it was different) and seemed to have no probs what-so-ever and yet you make a judgement that he is a ****** etc and your only going on what other people have said. Easily led I think

However, I agree that the damage was done and thenfore a refund really needs to be given, but as it was months after you can't really expect someone to keep the cash that long and give a full refund at the drop of a hat! I bet those don't have spare cash laying would also be in the same boat And if it was me and a load of people on here were saying that they were coming to see me etc, then I would tell you to come as I would be waiting patiently
quite the opposite really ..not easily led .hate seeing people ripped off with duff goods ..its becoming all to common these days little b@@@@@@@@s like him takin the p@@s ..maybe occasionally he may sell somethin that does work ..but this 1s floated to the top ...ive been on a few forums and its always the same name crops up..

personally i dont take kindly to being threatnd with a taser

You could send the Cray twins round you would still get nothing.
Who's to say you didn't do the damage after 8/10 i could of built it and put 3 thou miles on it. So to me its 50/50,

hope you get it sorted between you both could be worse could of been me.

If people read the thread then they'd realise i Let Phil know the block was damaged as soon as I realised, maybe a couple of weeks - a month.

I left him PM'swith no reply. I left him neg feedack which has been removed. No matter what I tried it was obvious he had no intention of returning the money.

2 nights ago I phoned Phil but got no reply. Then a text from him which I replied to. He then texted back so I called again, no answer. Does that sound like someone who has any intentions or ever had any intentions of refunding my cash?

As for sending people round. If I lived closer then I'd go round myself. Believe me. I dont need other people to do my dirty work. As I live in London and Phil lives in Gateshead thats not possible. So luckily I know people in that neck of the woods. If Philsworried about peoplecoming round then maye he should stop treating people like they're mugs and do the right thing/be a decent human being. I think you'd be surprised if you knew justhow many people dislike this guy or have had issues with him.

If you sell stuff and the stuff turns out to be damaged then you have to be prepared to refund the money - something Phil hasn't done or up to now had any intention of doing.

Phil still has the option of refunding the money when the block is delivered. I know loads of people that wouldnt even give him that option.

In my opinion it doesnt matter if it was 2quid or 200quid. If the seller was aware of any damage to goods then they shouldnt try make quick buck and not expect any come backs. (not meaning violence) good luck mate hope you get your money back. If seller was honest and really didnt know then a little on top to cover expensise would of been a nice token.

Welcome to the forum

Sadly it does happen from time to time and you do have to keep your wits about you Just take your time to research the seller and use the trader feedback system and check the item.

99% of the sellers on here are spot on but as with everything now and again you get one or two idiots who take the pi*s. It's a shame because it ruins it for the many good buyers/sellers out there.
My personal view is, if you let aresholes like this get away with it then they will just keep doing it. I'm afraid I wouldn't be quite as polite about the whole matter as the op is being. The fact that this seller has threatened people with a tazer gun gives you some idea what this **** is like.

Dont worry MattyB. My politeness has its limits.

I just prefer to give people the opportunity to sort things out so they dont have to see the less polite side of me.

Tazer?? You'd only carry one of those around if you were expecting trouble, for example : Ripping people off.

My mate has a taser and has used it on a low setting on his friends but using it willfully against someone will get you jail time in a hurry no ifs or buts

Even carrying a tazar is highly illegal. It is looked upon in the same league as a firearm.

I had a couple of texts from Phil yesterday saying the money will be refunded on the 7th of Sept so hopefully the matter will be closed and peace and love can be restored.

Let's hope he's true to his word Matt. I'm sure I'm not alone in offering whatever assistance I can.

Well done mate, I think you have shown great restraint, and personally and honestly if he had threatened me with a tazer , I would have been down there faster than you can spit .
Anyway you got there in the end so - result . I don't think for one moment that he won't pay up now, just a shame it came to this .

I like the drilled holes in his bumpers,,,
Bet that saved loads of weight....lol

He'd be better of taking a big steamy sh*t before going out for a drive.

Just too a nosey at that thread. I'm not good with the spanners but wtf is he doing to that poor car?

Drilling holes to allow airflow and weight loss

There seems to be alot of iffy fitting to my untrained eye.

If this chap has a partner in crime maybe they should rename themselves as "Bodgeit and Scarper"

To NFS , big respect for your restraint and attitude to getting the issue solved
