Default philS scooby - be careful what you buy off him

So I bought a block off phil AKA philS scooby a while back. Seemed like a nice enough kid when we met, it was late, I'd be driving for nearly 10 hours that day and still had to get from Gateshead back to London.

My fault that I didnt check the block properly.

Few weeks later when the block was examined it was noted that the block was fooked. Scrap.

I emailed him to let him know but as always with these people, no reply.

So I came accross a thread of his the other day and posted on it about the block. The links below and as you will see he offered to refund the money if I sent the block back.

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general-1/898567-any-parts-websites.html

Unsurprisingly Phils word is just that, a word. Despite 3 PM's and a post requesting a phone number and address to return the block to and also a request of half the refund now, half on delivery he hasn't replied. He's logged in 5 or 6 times so as you know, when you log in it tells you that you have a message so he's definately aware.

So there you have it. Now you all know that philS scooby is a dishonest little kid who's word doesnt mean **** all. Just though I would make the decent majority of members on here aware of what type of person you'll be dealing with if you choose to buy off this guy.

Reputation down the pan for the sake of £200 and inability of being decent and doing the right thing.

What goes around comes around Phil and Karma can be a real bitch.

Did you buy it stripped like it is now or with the internals still in place?

Hello Need4speeduk

I run the North East Subaru Forum ( www.NESF.co.uk ) Phil uses our forum quite a bit, one of our members noticed this and brought it to our attention.

Phil is currently serving a 7 day ban from our forum, if this isn't sorted out his ban will become a permanent one.

Jonny.

Appreciated Jonny.

People who cant do things the right way have no place on these forums. Will make it a better environment for all concerned.

As for going round in person thats not a realistic option as I live in London and Phil lives in Gateshead. It would cost £100 + in fuel never mind the 9-10 hour round trip.

Not to get too much off-topic, but I had a similar experience with another seller on here.

Bought something off the person, which he did not have in stock yet (different material) I payed for it in advance. After a month I see him selling the product (made from the new material) on here, so I ask him if he sent/made mine already

His reaction was "why did you not file a complaint earlier, I do not believe you".
He texted his bank (on a Saturday) and said he has never seen any money from me.
I know the money has left my account,so I believe he has my money, and just thinks I should bugger off.It is not worth my time/money and effort to pursue this, but I do feel a bit pi$$ed off to be honest.

As my bank do not do any written bank statements anymore (only online) there is no way I can prove that he has my money (short of a screengrab, or letting him log in to my account)

The screengrab could be falsified, so it does not hold much value (tho I am a photoshop illiterate)the second would be plain stupid

If it was me, I'd be driving to his house. 10 hours and £100 is alot but it's not the point, these fooking little retards need stopping because it's you he fooked about this week but it'll be someone else next week.
I'd borrow a mates diesel motor, drive to his pad and give him a thrashing. I'd then give his dad a thrashing for my troubles.
People like these mess the whole selling/buying on these sites.

Its all well & good guys saying go and kick the crap out of him & sure, I could get a couple of pals together and do just that and he'd deserve every ounce of it.

But this is the real world. You get banged up for slapping someone thats breaking into your house these days. The justice system in this country is a joke. Peronally I know if I were to get a few mates and go up there then it'd be us, not him, in the brown stuff.

I wouldnt put friends in that position & I wouldnt risk getting struck off and losing my career over £200. And yes, sure its the prinicple & it is what people like that deserve but we also live in the real world.

And yeah, I should of checked it properly but as I've said, I'd been driving for 10 hours, it was late, dark and I was knackered. I've sold something before that wasn't as the buyer had hoped and when he contacted me we met up and he got his money back.

Theres a right a wrong way to conduct yourself. Sadly it seems young Phil conducts himself the wrong fairly frequently which will come back to haunt him one day.

Afterall now everyone as broadcast about going on up to give him a slap he would have plenty of evidence to get you all banged up if he were to unfortunatley fall into a fist lol

You went to his house to see about a refund, while speaking to him he went crazy. Screaming and shouting at you before eventually throwing a punch. You manage to avoid it and in self defence throw a punch back. Unfortunately his jaw gets broken.......

Sorted, score settled and no stretch inside.
