Sad as it is......it's business. If sky pay more they win.
Maybe some of you should find something to do on Sunday afternoons during the summer instead of watching TV

Well it's no surprise that F1 is not everyone's favourite, but for those of us that do follow it it's a big deal, and will make time to catch the races that fit in to all the other stuff that there is to do.
Time spent doing what you want to do is time well spent. Agreed?

I thought they learnt that putting it on sky was a bad idea. At least it's not a premium channel like before.
Good thing I can still go over my parents to watch it. Or even log in online as my dad and watch it there.

The BBC have got to change the way the company is run.
Adverts and sponsoring programs is the only way forward.
The BBC cannot expect every licence payer to subsidise it when all they show is shiite.
Trouble is common sense can never prevail in a bullshat organisation that has been spoonfed by the public for so long.........

Clearly the BBC think they can't afford it......it's a business.
Yes it's dissapointing, but I'd not think any amount of moaning will get it back.
Many BBC programs they can sell to other countries and make money, this isn't one of them.

What ever happened to Bernies TV channel? I would have paid monthly specifically for F1 but I won't pay for Sly Sports.
What a shame. Hopefully means that more peope will watch Motors TV and improve thier offerings. V8 Supercars and the ALMS series will probably become more popular as a result.
Such a shame.

I've signed the petition, however whilst I don't mind F1 moving away from BBC (for example to ITV, Ch5 or CH4 etc), what I do abhore is paying a subscription charge to watch it.
Although I have to say, I think coverage quality has been far better since the switch to from ITV back to BBC. So moving back to a commercial broadcaster is a backwarsd step. And I bet $sky will still cram advert breaks in all over teh place, like ITV did - but charge viewere for the privilidge!
F1 has always been free to view on TV, and this should remain the case. I will not pay any extra (above my TV licence) to watch F1; especially to $ky.
I have an old 60cm dish currently still pointed at the old analogue Astra transponder (19.2E), and an old tuner which will pick up RTL Deutshland which shows F1 for free, so if the worst comes to the worst I'll hook it back up. No HD or Dolby 2.0/5.1 though

I knew buying that TV with a built in Freesat HD tuner would come in handy...just need to find out which transponder beams f1 for free in HD

Races screened by the BBC will be live on the BBC Sport website for UK users.
The BBC did this before when they had F1 - do you remember? They only started showinng highlights of races.
