As for smokers and lung cancer, same situation. As long as it was the smoking that caused the lung cancer of course. But that's a different issue.

He doesn't need "weight loss surgery", he needs to stop eating. As for working all his life, well that'll stand him in good stead with the social, or at least as well as it would help any of us.

Firstly, he's no fool (perhaps you are with your attitude), secondly no one said you should care.

Unfortunately he does 'need' weight loss surgery as he'll only get worse and become a bigger strain on society. It's a mental thing with him, as with most people with his problem, he cannot just stop eating, it's a form of addiction, like alcholism or smoking. If he could do it any other way I'm sure he would - he's been trying for years but to no avail. ...

He is currently in a vicious circle with food, the worse he feels the more he eats etc.
Anyway to answer your question he will be unable to eat/digest certain food groups etc. And, as such will HAVE to conform, greasy ***** otherwise!
Really, this thread is drifting too far off the 93% of people on sickness benifit etc so I'll stop posting about my mate now - incidently I'm off to the station to pick him up to go for beer and pies (not really - I'm just going to walk down to the station and get a taxi back with him)

Weight loss surgery? FPMSL!
He is 28, not 208
Blatantly looking for the easy way out, but its ok because hes not a sponger? then tell Mr Fat Pants to get off his **** and do something about it.
