Ustolemy....

I have tried.. You need to get the wire speed up, but the wire just jams if it catches... Arc a bit brighter... you arent kidding... There seemed to be no control over the weld either.. it was like it just wanted to float above the piece of metal... I may give it another go yet... Someone suggested using argon + helium... but I was just using pure argon..

Hi David

Good to see somebody actually trying themselves. Been down this road with my Cossie MKII.

Here is some pics of the intercooler and radiator set up I fabbed up.

I'd help you with the alloy welding but your probably at the wrong end of the country

Rgds

I knew I was going to have the least power so tried to be the dirtiest... It was the first wagon to run and it was nice for all the support... shouts of take it home... Some people are so nice... then they started noticing different wheels, interior, brakes.. dustbin sized hks air filter and HKS Hiper exhaust... oh and a lot of noise when it came on boost...

Phil... I would but ive sent the order now... i think I compared prices and they were about the same.

Ive been back about an hour... 66 emails downloading at moment... Instead of unpacking and getting all my bottles of booze out!!! I decided to open the package from rally design.... Fuel hoses are wrong... should be 1.5m and are .5m and there is a 1m length of samco hose, but no reducer yet.... And dont say I told you so Andy.

Oh yeah I did have a nice holiday, and did drink lots, but I have decided I absolutley hate the person I shared a room with... Never Ever Again.... (Female) --- (No Just friends... or I thought we were.... Moody B1tch!)

Anyway Not working till monday... so May do some work tomorrow..

Shock Horror... I've done some work..... so heres the pictures..

Replacement fuel Pressure reg. has no bracket so I need to make one.

Found a bit of metal in the scrap box...

Some of the bits that I ordered

Length of Samco Hose...

Inside a bit of hose... obviously...

Fits onto the tubing fine.... but...

This shows the difference in size...

Bracket made....

Mounting Place... Threaded hole on strut...

Dont even dare say that the middle hole is off...

Bolted up...

Mounted On the Car..

I need to make one of these... (the groove is where I removed the O ring From.

That fits in this hole on the end of the injector rail.

Found these bits in my scrap box which should do.

turned the rod down a tiny bit and put a groove in for the o ring.

Seeing if metal is big enough (this was a off cut from the bracket)

Drilled a hole through the metal... now about to weld it...

Mounted in the lathe to machine it up.. and to hide the weld..

Different Angle

Drilling out the middle..

You can see that a machined some grooves on it as well...

Finished... (theres no pictures in between above and here as the memory card was full... and all i did was drill to holes and then cut it to the correct shape)

David
